I quit posting about politics on my social media a few years ago. In fact I very rarely post at all on social media (I don’t count GAG as social media given I am anon)

I used to speak my mind all the time like I do on here. But looking back I realized how much it has negatively impacted some of my relationships with my friends and family. Also (very unfairly) with it caused problems at work given most of the people I interact with in my industry are unfortunately democrats. I had to deal with some very real life cancel culture bullshit at my old job back in 2014 (which I still have a very deep grudge about)

But after interacting with both conservatives and liberals in the work over the years I have noticed that leftists are far more likely to bring up politics at inappropriate times and in inappropriate environments (workplace).

However there is good news because I’ve been noticing a big cultural shift lately. The silent majority is finally fed up with DEI and far left bullshit. Fed up with the whole Trump’s a “dictator” bullsh*t.

It used to be cool and “hip” to go around spewing that bs. But not anymore. And that gives me hope for this country. That doesn’t mean I want everybody to be MAGA (I’m definitely not some sort of maga redneck). But I am relieved and so glad people are fed up with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I was pretty confident that Trump was going to win the election but with the assassination attempts and the mail in ballots I was worried that somehow the election would be stolen again. I stayed up the whole night watching while state after state declared President Trump the winner. I still won't relax until he is standing on the steps of the Capitol with his hand on the Bible,

It’s funny in that the Star Wars meme you posted I have seen posted by conservatives when Biden won. The conservatives have no real control over the mass media, that was the Democrats. Facebook has finally admitted that it did silence voices at the behest of the government/White House and won’t do it in the future. The tide has turned.
