Resources and wind do not care about politics.
Some areas burning have gravity feeds to their hydrants and homes surrounded by huge plant growth many decades old. Add in daily strong winds, mostly at night when aircraft fighters are downed, and nothing is stopping anything.

logistically difficult. be thankful no fire fighters have died yet. have to get out far enough in front to cut a fire line... which is nearly impossible in the mountains and with high winds blowing the fire everywhere.

  That is if you can find any water to put on it. Poor or nonexistent forestry practice for years and money allotted for forest maintenance spent on everything else but by the State and Cities. DEI and DEFUNDING POLICE AND FIRE DEPTS WORK GREAT IN HELPING FIGHT FOREST FIRES
