Blue jays aren't really blue. Their feathers are brown, and because of how light affects them, they appear blue. Their feathers are brown, but they appear blue due to an optical illusion called light scattering.

There's this tree in India called the Rudhrashka, I'm probably spelling it wrong. Anyways, according to Hindu mythology, the first tree sprouted after the tears of Shiva rained down onto the soil. There may actually be some merit to this legend as the tree's biology is extremely unusual.

Firstly, the tree produces a fruit which is a rare cobalt blue and is said to possess several health benefits.

Secondly, it is one of only two species on earth to create color using refraction and not reflection.

Scientists did an experiment where they went into the wild and tossed human toys in front of young monkeys. The make monkeys picked the toy cars to play with.
