So as y’all obviously know TikTok was banned in the US yesterday/earlier today bc of a law, and then today the app appeared back in the US because of a Trump signed contract, and many had thoughts that it was a promo move by Trump to gain the public to like him ahead of his inauguration tomorrow, any thoughts, do y’all think it was a promo move made by him?

political people like trump play both sides of the card in other words most dont really care for what they say they say what they think will get people to care about them i can not say that this goes for everyone who is a political person or every action they make but i can say a lot of it is motivated by that and its commonly why you see a lot of governments in other countries collapse because they care for themselves but here since our government is stable they have to find new ways to stir the pot in there favor like rallying support so when they do something purely for themselves all people say is either nothing or make up lies to cover the truth because they are so far gone. For some older members of the community or more educated in what happened before you were born there is this expression i like ¨they drank the coolaid¨ for those of us who dont know ill explain it was this huge cult back in the 70s if im correct that thought the world was gonna end and as a result they drank poisened coolaid leading to thousands of deaths across america while no one has died here they are following the majority as in human nature. This is something to think about with trump and future presidents the one question i always like to think of would you let donald j trump babysit your children?

I think you would have to be EXTREMELY stupid and gullible to believe that China or Tik Tok just had a change of heart overnight. Trump was the one who always wanted it banned, then we learned Gen Z men are fucking awful, and he was like “oh wait, this helps me, nevermind.” And now, of course, Tik Tok is back and the suck Trump’s dick in the “we’re back!” notification. The people on this thread think this is such a sinister thing. China paused the app, it wasn’t a ban. China wanted to wait until we got a real president. Trump‘s plan is for America to own 50% of TikTok. And I’m sure Trump has a plan to have the spyware removed. Benning TikTok would be a stupid idea, because a lot of people like their living off of it. So instead of throwing the app in the trash bin, it’s much smarter to just fix it.
