Trump inheriting a strong economy, never forget. “Retail prices” is not “the economy.” That’s corporate greed at work. Talk to all the people hanging out at Trump’s inauguration of you have complaints, that’s them doing that shit.
One thing, above all else, I hope and pray you don’t think you’re going to benefit from this financially. Holy shit, PLEASE tell me you don’t think that. Don’t go spending your savings. Good luck, man, truly.

  Let me say it again, and slower: “The. Prices. Of. Goods. And. Services. Are. Not. Under. The. Control. Of. The. President.”
  
  Trump’s tariffs will raise prices even more, Walmart and Best Buy CEOs already said they’d have to raise prices if he does it, and now he’s started, at least with Canada and Mexico. He has no idea what tariffs are for and how to use them. And the tariffs are paid by OUR companies who import the goods, yet he wants to create the EXTERNAL Revenue Service to collect tariffs from these countries that they simply don’t owe. Literally does not and CANNOT make sense. Mexico pays $0. Canada pays $0. Canada and Mexico will logically respond with tariffs of their own, which results in a trade war, and trade wars are bad for everyone.
  
  This is why the uneducated shouldn’t have a place at the table for economic discussion, they have no grasp of the involved principles and only know how much their eggs cost, lmao. Meanwhile Kamala was pledging to go after corporate price gouging, which IS the actual problem you’re suffering from, but y’all voted against it. So this is what you’re left with.
