I think Trump is picking people that are not lifetime politicians. They only do things for their constituants and their motives may be dishonest. Look at all the people who have been in Congress for like 30 years. What have they accomplished? Have any of the problems that have faced the people for decades been fixed yet? Take Newsom for instance. He has been too busy primping in front of a mirror and filling his pockets to worry much about his state. So Mr. Patel may be better than a lifetime politician. I guess time will tell. Let's hope we don't shoot ourselves in the foot for voting for Trump.
I think he will be great and just what is needed in the FBI.
I be you’d date him
@blackeagle007 What does that mean?
You’re attracted to trump. He’s got $
@blackeagle007 And what does that mean?
That means you’re attracted to him
A waist of this man's talent, the FBI cannot be reformed and needs to be tottaly abolished.
There is nothing you can do that would make the federal goverment both capable and inclined to avoid abusing such domestic power over individuals.
One man cannot observe much-less control soo, many soo far, and neither he much-less his successors would naturally be inclined to resist the abuse of such unaccountable power.
We don't need a qualified professional we need a garbage man because that is what needs to happen.
@Dargil Almost anywhere remote is good, more expensive to get to the better. Then a limited budet will keep them there rather than trying to repress americans.
He’s standing there because he fellated Trump enough. Trump’s entire administration is based on loyalty, and not qualifications this time.
Last time, he went for qualified people probably suggested to him, who promptly were fired or resigned when it became apparent what an idiot Trump is at being President. There was an adult in the room to tell him “no.” Now there’s not. And that’s scary.

I wouldn't trust that deranged bozo with driving a garbage truck.

For once I agree with you.
I wouldn’t recommend a car wash to hire him
What do I think? Anyone appointed by Trump has got something wrong with them. All of his appointees are mismatched in their jobs, and are not the kind of leaders we need today. Trump himself is not fit to lead us.
I think he is a perfect fit for the Trump Cartel. He will go after people as enemies just because they believe in kindness. A lot of innocent people will be hurt by that poor excuse for a man.
He will likely end up being the best director that FUBAR agency has ever had - which is also a referendum on how historically terrible they have been.
Oh, he ended up getting confirmed? I don't trust him. He seems unhinged and dishonest. If I saw him on the street, I wouldn't even ask him for help if my life depended on it
Patel wasn't hired because of his skin colour, he was hired because he sucks Trump's five-centimetre (two-inch) d**k morning, noon and night. Who better to carry our Trump's racist agenda of targeting progressives than a rogue POC?
why use the word indian but i think he's a great choice
liberal white men and liberal white women love calling him a coon
then again, any conservative with a darker skin tone gets called that often
Kash Patel is American... why do you call him Indian?
The democrsts are scared to death of him. Trump must have picked the right guy.
He's a national & global security risk and staggeringly unqualified.
Possibly true, definitely not because he's qualified
More than any piece of shit Biden Has appointed to that office
I think he would look better standing behind the check out counter at a convience store/ gas and shop.
He is more trustworthy than and FBI director we've had in the past 20 years.
He's a good guy.
I certainly would see no reason not to trust him!
Why shouldn't be trusted?
Because people that have worked with him described him as dangerous and incompetent.

@DryGermanGuy
Anybody can say anything, especially reported by WaPo. As a spread sheet guy, I am only interested in his job description performance. I don't give a flip how people that have worked with him described him. That doesn't matter to be and it shouldn't to you. Show me links delineating negative job performance. Then my trust can be challenged. It also doesn't matter that he has the same last name as my doctor or that he is brown. Guessing that may matter to you, trocknen.
When high-ranking people go on the record with their impression of Patel's competence and personality, that matters. Not to mention that deranged enemy list, that Patel published.

‘Jeopardize the mission’
Throughout Trump’s first term, Patel regularly inserted himself into situations he believed would help him gain favor with Trump. But once involved, Patel often demonstrated a lack of expertise and attention to detail that proved disruptive, multiple sources said.
That was true in October 2020 when Patel nearly compromised efforts to rescue an American who was captured in West Africa, according to Trump’s former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.
Esper told CNN that he launched US special operators to rescue the American “on the premise we had airspace clearance into that country to conduct that operation” – information that Esper believed came from Patel.
“And we found out hours later that it was not true,” Esper told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, adding that by that time, the Navy SEAL team was already in the air. “For a moment in time there, at least an hour, it jeopardized the mission,” he said.
While the raid ultimately was successful, Esper said the breakdown, attributed in part to Patel, could have put the captured American’s life at risk and warranted further investigation after the fact.
But there is no evidence that Patel’s role in the incident was ever scrutinized. Another source familiar with the incident told CNN that some national security officials who worked with Patel on Africa issues no longer trusted the work he produced and even found other mistakes later that had to be corrected.
@DryGermanGuy Well, bend ober, Mein Herr, and spread your cheeks. He will be confirmed.
I don't really give a damn if the United States wants to employ an incompetent FBI director, you will have to suffer the consequences. It just might disrupt international collaboration for important topics like the war on terror or the war on drugs. But hey, suit yourself.
@DryGermanGuy if the washington post says it, it must be true.
he's friggin nuts!
Yup. He's a good pick
Nothing. He just started the job.
I am glad he got confirmed.
Nope
Diversity in action
He’s a badass,
