So, here goes… what I want to know is this - what has Trump done since he returned that has benefitted YOU or YOUR life in some tangible, measurable way? How has he made YOUR life better?

Did pardoning or releasing the cop-beating January 6th insurrectionists make you safer in your home? Did shutting down the Office of Gun Violence Prevention make your kids safer at school?

What about the freeze on cancer research? Halting the operations & external communications from the FDA & CDC? Did you get a job you otherwise would not have gotten thanks to the dismantling of DEI?

Did ending protection from discrimination at work make your daughter’s professional path easier? Did stopping aid to Ukraine & Taiwan put more food on your plate?

Did raising prices on your Rxs make it easier for you to manage your medical condition? Does shutting FEMA down make you worry less about natural disasters? Do you sleep better at night knowing that ICE is raiding offices & orchards in some blue state nowhere near you?

“Re-taking” the Panama Canal isn’t going to change any of those facts, neither is “annexing” Canada or “taking” Greenland. Tariffs won't either.

Your taxes aren’t going down, prices are going up, your towns are no safer, you aren’t suddenly more qualified at your job, your daughter can be discriminated against, you don’t know and won’t know if there’s a public health emergency or if your food is safe, your roads aren’t getting repaired, your produce isn’t getting picked, and your government won’t be coming to help you in the middle of a natural disaster.

Nothing he has done has improved your life. None of it is designed to. Is this what you voted for? Is it enough that he hates the people you hate? Is that all you think you need?

Joe Biden had 4 years to screw this country up good. Trump has gotten a good
start. Prices will go down once our energy production goes up and the cost of fuel goes down. He is doing what Biden did only in reverse.
He is already deporting illegal Aliens. He has just been in the inner city but soon they will come and deport all the ones living in nearby hotels. He did away with DEI and will soon work to make government more efficient. He has a tax bill in the works to eliminate tax on tips, social security and overtime pay. The hostages from Hamas are being released and a cease fire has happened. Putin has agreed to negotiate peace with Ukraine. He has visited disaster victims in NC and California and is taking action the get them some help. He wants to eliminate a lot of the permits required to build in NC. He has been in office for a week and he has started to do what he promised to do and what Americans voted for. It will take more than a week.

Unfortunately nothing to what you say is going to change minds. I've found that this puts them on the defense causing them to dig deeper into conspiracy, and although they make fun of others for being snowflakes, they can't handle heavy facts thrown at them.

They just turn deeper into the abyss. Somehow you going on a factual tirade is somehow their excuse to say... look the liberal is going crazy they're so mad. He thinks he's sane.

Um I cannot believe I am defending Trump but he has only been in office a couple of weeks. Now he has already created a lot of chaos as expected but changing the economy in a substantial way takes time. The economy is like a supertanker... it really does not turn on a dime. I do believe Trump has been more interested in fighting culture wars than improving the lives of most Americans but we have to see what happens over the next few months. Personally I think things will get worse... his lust for tariffs should prove to be a disaster but hey lets see... I cannot wait to see the result of many of his new policies over the next few months. The mid term elections should be very interesting. The Senate and House rats will start leaving the MAGA ship when the polls start coming out.

@Friendlybro79 I figured the Ukraine part was too good to be true but I don't really care how long it takes for him to end it as long as it happens. He did effectively cause the ceasefire in Gaza to release the hostages in one phone call though so at least there's that.

I haven't heard of anything about him going back on the prices but I doubt that he will increase the inflation.

@Snakeyes7 inflation is inevitable. Without it we collapse economically. It's managing inflation and in reality even low inflation is hurting Americans because we're not getting raises to cover the rising cost of living and the prices of everything else. So if anyone expects deflation that is not likely. What he needs to do is stop focusing on his rich friends and corporations and help the middle class get raises in combination to him helping keep inflation stay low. Low inflation implies prices are going to go up just not by much. The eggs at the supermarket are part due to avian bird flu and greedy supermarkets. Which leads me into trying to fight price gouging so consumers aren't getting ripped off

@Snakeyes7 you bring up a great point and I admit I don't have all the answers. We need an effective government that can control price gouging. For ex corporations were making billion in profit during covid.. Chipotle for ex raised their prices not necessarily because of supply chain issues but used it as an excuse to raise prices and profited off of it. With those extra billions employees that bring that profit in deserve a little bit for the effort. They can leave prices alone and still profit but they're greedy.

So the issue is how do we control corporate greed when it's their fiduciary responsibility to make as much as possible for the stockholders? Well that's the billion dollar question. Not million... cause you know... inflation lol.

Unions is one answer although not everyone is a fan but if the American worker needs someone to look out for them too. Individuals don't stand a chance to combat most of this alone when the majority of all politicians, left and right, are legally bribed by the corporations themselves in the form of corporate donations to their campaigns

If prices are too high, you can make the choice not to spend money on it.

I think a big part of it is that it all just boils down to like five parent companies, we have laws against things like this but our politicians piss themselves at the thought of angering their lobbyists.

Take Netflix for example. I remember like 7 years ago it was like 8 bucks a month. Now it's like 25 for that same deal while shoving ads into the lower teirs.

The people who work at Netflix are morons. They don't realize that the more they raise prices, the more people they drive away. They'll keep going until there will be no one left.

The triple-a gaming industry is making the same mistake. Games used to cost $60 when I started paying for them on my own but now they cost 70-80 for half the quality and possibly get a real life political message that no one asked for.

The fact that companies are buying each other up is a good sign that their particular industry is dying and refuse to make changes to prevent it. They'll all disappear and no one will miss them becuase of their anti-consumer practices.

Maybe regarding your gaming ex. If these companies are all being bought by bigger companies your theory could only work then if people stop gaming and stop buying them which they prob won't. Hence why my people didn't stop smoking when cigarettes reached the unthinkable 1.00 a pack my grandma used to talk about. It also could spark a new company to offer a cheaper solution but as we all have seen through experience that only lasts while they're private companies (typically). Once they go public then it becomes about profits and shareholders. Vicious cycle. I think for the most part we're saying the same thing though lol
