For those not in the loop. On Monday night Trump passed a sweeping memo freezing every federal assistance programs except for social security and medicare... so that included medicaid, snap, all sorts of programs that a lot of people depend on that if this was allowed to stick would have hurt them tremendously.

After this happened a pressure campaigned mounted across the country with governors and congress people condemning this action until a federal judge temporarily blocked this executive order immediately. Fast forward today and here you can see the white house backtracking on this EO! This was the craziest 48 hours ever but this is prrof pressure still works folks. This was also likely the rubicon for a lot of people. it's woken up a lot of people knowing just what we are up against in the USA.

But let this be a lesson folks Remember the most important thing to do to reject authoritarianism: Do NOT obey in advance! Resist!

They will likely try it again in the future though... we must be diligent and resist everywhere all the time!

Bassically the opposite our consarvatives in germany are doing atm. There is a thing called "brandmauer" meaning firewall, against right extremism. It means to allways vote against right wing extremist because thats how Hitler came into power in the first place. Hindenburg voted with him and that gave Hitler power and recognition in the first place. The most likely german chancelor candidate Friedrich Merz just did the opposite. They voted together with the AFD our Nazi party. Merz is playing Hindenburg atm. Thats obbeying in advance! Thats supporting right wing extremism! Thats putting power to those who just want it for the power! America is already a step further. They already have their autocrat in power which makes the statement even MORe important!!!
