Did you read that FBI agents are suing to block Justice Dept. effort to examine Trump, Jan. 6 cases?

I believe it. there were feds in the crowd that helped to excite the riot. Now that there is an impartial DOJ a lot of rats are going down with the ship. The Jan6th commission didn;t shred all the evidence for no reason.

I can't imagine what possible reason the FBI would have to prevent the Trump administration from looking into what was clearly a good faith, legally and procedurely sound investigation.

I am too. An investigation tends to reveal both sides of an issue.

I didn't see you mention they wanted an investigation, just that they wanted to block one. I guess I must have missed that part...

They actually want an investigation into the reasons for the OTHER investigation.

After some checking, I don't see any indication that they want an investigation, just to block their names from going on a list of people that were involved in the investigation. For the rank and file folks that were just following orders, I agree. Leave them alone.

In order to have that done, whoever they are asking not to reveal their names is going to ask why - and investigate. They know that.

Judges don't investigate. They hear arguments from each side and make a decision. It's up to the parties involved to present the judge with what they want considered.

They certainly aren't going to walk in there and present an unbiased case. Stop. This isn't going to be an investigation.

I saw the head of the FBI in a congressional hearing and he admitted there were FBI agents in the January 6th crowd, but he wouldn't say how many.

and the question becomes... whom ordered them there, what were their orders. I think FBI has a role... but not to screw over citizens. trouble is and we have all that recorded on tape, some people viewed MAGA as a dangerous group. So this is going to get ugly no matter what. Wouldn't shock me if there are executions/suicides prior to the courts.
