Im u, k and if ever the saying, history is written by the victors, imagine a civilastion from 4000bc to 200ad, existing and having the ancient connection to the universe to the extent of what now we would call magic maybe, organised societies and clans, then after a few attempts im proud to say the romans won over, in less than 200 years they were gone from written history... and with it their knowledge.. now go from over 3,000 years of time to 6 to 700 years and the christian and catholic wiping out an estimated 9 MILLION women healers, the feminine connected to nature with knowledge of how to work with earth to help and heal others, they were also the midwives, and there spells! were words of manifestation as they treated others blessings to mother nature, SO MY POINT IS, how are we existing here on earth accepting as a whole religions that only just a few hundred years ago slaughtered the female beings who had true connection to this universe to remove it purposely from the people! the genecide of the jews is to this day a pinnacle point of polictics daily, this was one man on a mission and cannot be held accountable, but these religions continue to thrive and hold secrets and gifts of knowledge that could create heaven on earth... every conflict is raised and driven by men whos self interests are met and nowadays those of his foe, the u. s and u. k sell arms to the east, send sons of us to fight the organisations they disagree with, when theyve stepped beyond their leash, take israel and palestine, no matter the narrative of an attack as the catalyst the world has watched a genocide, starvation, bombing, no medical care bombing to utter destruction of a country, no if it was any other country other than israel what do you think the world would of done? the first gulf war, i was married to a squaddie, he was transport core so upfront providing for the first foot soldiers, he saw kids as young as 12 in uniform made to fight dead rotting in the road, we were there apparently because they had weapons of mass destruction, but oh as soon as they pushed them back off the oil fields they didn't carry on, because they had the oil fields back! all lies and control one man to another, creating deaths of thousands, i truly believe that where ancient cultures respected women and their matriarch knowledge and gifts and this tradition and knowledge being destroyed from earth is the biggest crime of war of all time... a life giver will always choose to protect life, namaste
There are essentially significant battles that the USA should give importance to but I choose those in modern history instead.
a. The "sleeping giant" showed the entire world our military might during World War 2.
b. 9-11-2001 SHOULD HAVE taught Americans that we should cast away our domestic racism issues because we have an outside enemy that we should have focused on... Islamic Extremists!
We banded together but just briefly.
Unfortunately, COVID19 (unleashed by the Chinese), brought revived American racism to greater levels.
WWI because it was just after we federated and so our first armed conflict.
Within that I'd say the Battle of Le Hamel because the Australian Army hadn't fought as a single unit till approx then under an Australian general - Sir John Monash who was knighted on the battle field - the first so honored for 200 years. It was a great honor for the Australian troops and the Canadians and Americans who also participated.
For the US it would have to the Revolutionary war which created the nation.
Followed closely by the US Civil War which prevented the young nation from fracturing into slave based vs non slave based economies. That problem continues to this day.

Battle of Buttington 893AD which saw the defeat of an invading viking army.
While England lost most of it's lands to the vikings after their defeat at Buttington they largely left us alone bar a few coastal raids on villages. Had they succeeded, given the small population at the time, our identity could have easily been erased.
My country has been fighting off invasion since 1975
And it’s still not over.
So the most important battle is the battle of living there and still having hopes for a bright future.
I lost that battle 4 years ago and left
Easy answer. Ten day war a. k. a independence war.
Other: any ww2 battle.
Battle of the borders 1918 where general maister secured the northern border of the country.
The soča front (isonzo) was often described as a tragedy because slovenians served in both the italian and austro-hungrian armies.
thats a good one... can you imagine how hard it was to communicate over distances like that?
the battle now on for the soul of USA and rightsizing what is in effect, the USA Titanic that is flooded up to the high deck.
France almost disappeared during WWII too. Just think, they could be speaking German or Russian today if the US had not entered the war.
There's so many.
Trafalgar, Waterloo, Agincourt. The biggest was probably the Battle of Britain though. If we'd lost that one all Europe would be a Nazi state now.
If they hadn't been forced to fight on multiple fronts because of their inability to conquer Britain and had been able to put the full German army, naval and Luftwaffe into action, plus what they'd pillaged from northern Europe, none of the southern European nations could have withstood combined assaults from German and Italian forces for long.
In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt had allied with Germany. The big thorn for the Germans was Britain because Russia was allied with Britain at that point, forcing a war on two fronts that Germany couldn't hope to win. Without Britain and with American "neutrality" until 1941 the war would have been very different.
Southern Europe kinda did withstand them. Yugoslav partizans were no joke.
Its even funnier that the germans didn't even need to go there as yugoslavia didn't want to meddle in the war to begin with.
And the eastern front was always a target.
So i'd argue that we wouldn't ve speaking german regardless of britains status.
But lets say britain did lose. The ussr is now the main focus. Its also a logistical nightmare and a frozen hell. So...
I doubt britain would have been defeated considering the RAF were fighting off the luftwaffe so effectively along with other factors.
Not to dowplay the battle but i always viewed it as more of a symbolic victory.
As churchill said: we shall never surrender.
And i respect that spirit of defiance
america: the American revolution, westward expansion, ww2
france: french revolution, napoleonic era, industrial workers revolts, ww1 & ww2
''Teutoburg Forest'' - when we kicked out the Romans.
This was some 20 kilometers from my home village :D
We haven't changed since then...
The Battle of Yorktown (September 28 - October 19, 1781). We sent the British packing.
Battling the British the Boston tea party we got our freedom for the first time in 1776 on July 4.
The one we're having right now between the loony lefties and Trump!
The Battle of Lexington and Concord. It marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
We became a country after the American revolution, but the civil war was a big lesson in stupidity
Whatever the battle was that won the Revolutionary War. It gave independence to our nation
I would like to live in 1180. Kick around Europe on me hoss.
Beating the Brits, WWII, rebuilding Europe. Take your pick.
Yorktown during the American Revolution, and the Battle of the Bulge in WW II.
The USA is beginning its most important battle. The battle to save/ preserve our Democracy.
My country is not important for the history.
it will always be normandy 1941
the battle of Trumpington Hill 2205
The War of 1812.
The American Civil War...
