Think they're going to try to top their own record in his last term? They already said they were going to impeach him before he was even in the White House the first time back then! When asked for what reason, they had no answer. They were just going to impeach him because they hated him for winning with the American people! What a bunch of lowlife sore losers. No wonder they made this country fall apart and the people threw them out.

I could see giving Musk access to the Treasury problematic. Musk makes a lot of money from government contacts and that kind of access to his competitors could be seen as reckless on Trump's part. Even if it is on the up and up, it's only acceptable for 49% of the population now and that's hardly terra firma. I'm not even a Trump hater and I think that anyone but Elon should have that information because it's easily a conflict of interest and obviously there will be lawsuits filed. Even if it was the right thing to do it was the wrong person to do it. He can't make more mistakes like that.

It's only a 3 seat majority in the house so it's not out of the question a handful of moderates could flip. In the Senate, Murkowski, Cassidy and Collins voted to impeach Trump 4 years ago so only one more vote is needed. Whether you agree with the charges or not, it might not take much for votes in the House and Senate to switch if there's more chaos and inflation. Especially for senators who are up for reelection in two years so right or wrong, I could see a path to impeachment.

What you just said goes to the question of whether or not an impeachment in the House will be successful. But we are not discussing whether or not it will be successful we are discussing whether or not it will be a fake.

I don't disagree that they might pass something in the House. What I am saying is that it will be another fake impeachment with no constitutional authority behind it, fake evidence and corrupt voting.

I said I think there will be one fake one and one real one. I think there's a 100% chance of a fake one and a very likely chance of a successful real one. You know there's going to be a witch hunt and it's likely only a matter of time before they can get something to stick. He's not squeaky clean

And the Republicans deserve it. I remember Rand Paul saying the Republicans shouldn't impeach Biden because that would be stooping to their level.
Democrats are ruthless Street fighters. And Republicans think that taking the high road is going to get them somewhere.

I don't totally disagree. Republicans have been "going along to get along" for way too long and it has to stop.

But I wouldn't necessarily say it is ALL republicans, or even the majority of Republicans. Things go in cycles. From the day the Republican Party was founded and Lincoln became their first president the party has gone through phases. When I was a kid, they were fighters. In the past decade or two they became capitulators. As the older ones start to retire and the new crop is replacing them I think we are seeing a swing in the other direction and more of a fighting game.

Part of the problem is the difference in ideology between left and right. Left values mob unity. Everyone has to toe the line, say the same things, think exactly the same, do what the leadership tells them, and be automatons for the state authority. If they don't follow those rules they are harassed, humiliated and thrown out.

The right on the other hand values INDIVIDUALISM. They are about the freedom to say, do and believe what you want. Descension is not only tolerated but encouraged because they believe it results in more freedom and a stronger nation. They believe that the individual has a right to their own autonomy and is not a ward of the state. So clearly with those core beliefs you get less unity and it is more difficult to hold the fight together.

Each of these ideologies, whether moral or not, has its strengths and weaknesses. Although one is intrinsically evil and the other is not in my view.
