Is Congress afraid of Trump and Musk because it is hurting America, or for some other reason?

By law, every publicly-traded company in America is audited annually every year, as are many privately held companies. It is for the protection of the shareholders, the "owners" of the company from potential fraud committed by those that are entrusted with their money, "company leadership". And by law, not a single one is audited by itself. Yet, when an experienced businessman becomes U. S. President, he hires an outside auditor to look for waste, fraud and abuse, Congressional democrats lose their cookies. As the fraud is uncovered, where do you think the money will lead back to? EXACTLY! Just giving large swaths of money to bogus foreign charities isn't where it stops. OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY has been lining the pockets of DC politicians for decades. Bob Menendez is just an amoeba compared to the real crooks. How much did they steal? Just look at the elected democrats that entered office with a working man's net worth that are now mega-millionaires. Barack H Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, Joseph R Biden, Maxine Watters, etc., etc., etc.
The sheer fear of exposure that sent DC democrats down a path to destroy Donald Trump over the last 8 years has come. No tiny delegation of congressional idiots showing up at the doorsteps of executive branch offices demanding entry and swearing like sailors on the capital steps will stop what is about to happen. A pack of corrupt Obama-appointed judges might slow it down a bit, but they cannot stop it. The entire country is about to learn just how corrupt Washington DC is. Get your popcorn!!!

I'm not concerned about corruption. I'm concerned about a massive bloated government that is bureaucratic and inefficient - a government that spends far more on everything than what they should.

We already have state and local governments who overspend. Why do we need another layer of bureaucracy on top of that?

Governments aren't spending their own money. They have this crazy idea that if they can somehow come up with the money that it's OK to spend it. It's too damn easy to spend money when it's not yours. Those guys don't know the meaning of restraint. They don't know the meaning of the word "need" compared to "want".

Trump hired the wrong guy. He should have hired me. I'm the guy who can easily live on 70% of the so-called poverty level, with plenty of room to cut more if needed. It's easy if you understand need vs want.

As far as hurting the country? Sometimes you gotta pull the bandage off, and it's gonna hurt. The biggest reason we have such massive debt is because everyone is afraid of the hurt. Because getting the budget under control, and getting the government to run even slightly more efficiently WILL hurt. But it has to be done.

I don't think they're afraid Trump made some little people as the little people a little bit of money last time he was in office and I think Congress wants to see what he's going to do because they're all in it for the money that's all they care about is how they can line their pockets so they're not going to b**** . Bark or bite. If he's going to make them money at least not until the end of his term then that stuff will start but they'll go with the float and make as much as they possibly can because that's what they do it's so wrong the whole system is wrong

There are upper echelon people in government that are up to their eyeballs in corruption. This has been going on for decades and they have gotten so arrogant they thought that nobody would ever find out. They thought that nobody would ever bring them down.

Congress is riding the gravy train. ALL they worry about is getting reelected so they can keep taking campaign contributions (bribes) from lobby groups. They will do anything, lie, compromise their values, cheat, anything to keep filling their pockets. They are deathly afraid of being voted out of office.

I just saw that one of the oldest Congressman is like 90. I think that is ridiculous. Why doesn't he just retire and enjoy it?

I hope that Musk not only finds where the money was directed to go. But he finds out how much made it to where it was actually directed. Also how much did not make it and where it went!
