What we are seeing is not actually Narcissistic Personality Disorder, but rather the grandiosity associated with Bipolar 1 disorder which involves elements of narcissism. I think he also clearly has Antisocial Personality Disorder and may have some cognitive impairment, possibly due to dementia. There is no effective treatment for personality disorder, but Bipolar Disorder is treatable with meds.

Certain Republicans had no qualms about blaming Biden for every mishap in society. On another forum I saw some blaming him for the Great Depression and the Fall in the Garden of Eden.

People can now apply the same standard and attribute blame for every social mishap on tRump. After all, Covid came to our shores under his regime and these price increases came about today. The lack of regulation, the lack of preventive measures (or failure to adhere to them such as when Obama recommended preventives which were ignored by tRump), the ready dismissal of any danger (such as "it's all under control, Covid is no worse than a cold, it will be gone within days", etc), and over confidence in MAGA mythology (by the way, for those who don't know it, MAGA stands for 666 in numerology), the crazed notion that tRump and Republican ideology can never be wrong, all this mysticism combined is the cause of the present crisis. Re price gouging, it is the lack of regulation which enables or promotes profit maximization that is unquestionably the cause.

If you choose to dismiss all this, that is your right. But the one thing you cannot deny is the fact that Biden is NOT the source of these hassles.

@Sachem In the first few years of the Biden Administraton, it was business as usual for him and his minions to blame Trump for everything bad that was happening. That is politics. It is true that the things done by one president continue to have effects for a few years after that president leaves office. The economy doesn't change directions overnight and anyone who refuses to acknowledge that is a fool.

I think Biden was a horrible president but I don't hate him. If you want to hate Trump, carry on, but your hate isn't hurting Trump and it isn't hurting me.

I never hated Biden even though I thought he was an awful president, and I never hated Obama although I stronglhy disagreed with his politics. I see the left claiming that the right is motivated by hate and, therefore, the left is justified in responding with more hate. I have not seen anything from the right that compares to leftists setting Teslas on fire because they hate Elon Musk.

We did. My opinion is personal, not professional, since as you note I have not examined him. The "Goldwater rule" is simply a recommendation, not an ethical Principle. I am also not a member of the APA, so I would not be expected to adhere to it in any case.

I don't physically examine people to make diagnoses as there is typically nothing physical about mental illness. I ask questions, and I observe behavior. In this case, were I to do this, I would be able to ask questions, but the behavior speaks for itself. The answers to questions are important, but behavior is often sufficient, particularly a long uninterrupted series of incidents and actions publicly reported many time over with the same characteristics. As a hospital forensic specialist, I often go to court and testify in conservatorship cases as an expert having only been able to read the chart and observe the behavior, as many people with severe psychiatric illness do not speak. The Court and the opposing attorneys do not object. I am wondering why you do.

Behavior is an observation which you must then interpret and that's why bias is important.
