What does funneling money from SS mean anyway? The SS fund lends virtually all money not needed for current payments to the government. That has been true since the beginning. It would be difficult to find a government program that is not "funded" by the SS fund.

The entire idea of a "social security fund" is just the way the accounting is done. Realistically it's all government money.
