Okay, so I don't have the final tally on all the countries and such Trump wants to buy or make America, but what benefits does becoming part of the U. S. give them? We're a good country, and probably among the greatest, but we're not the best country by a large margin anymore. The benefit of joining the U. S. is largely diminished and could actually be a detriment.

For Greenland what i've heard is the oligarchs who spread false information about climate change know fully well how real it is and think that area will be safer to live in whenever things get worse. They also see potential real estate sales there opening up and new trade routes.

Panama canal might simply be about controlling the trade there. They don't want a middle man they want all the money themselves.

so yeah try to think of things like 'how does this benefit the 1%' and then it starts to make more sense.

It could also simply be that this is all smoke and mirrors and part of the Steve Bannon 'flooding the zone with shit' strategy. This is where they flood the air waves with crazy outlandish things that all the major new outlets cover that take focus off the true things they want to do.. like for example what Elon is doing with the Treasury.
