I'd say it's wrong... that kind of thing is a slippery slope that gets messy so much faster and easier than people realize.

There's also many times when the assumptions turn out to miss the bigger picture. So it can be really sad when someone gets an assumption in their head and then they try to push the other person to conform to their assumption, rather than realizing that they were wrong.

I've had situations like that come up in friendships and dating, where the person gets it into their head that I am one way, and when I don't act that way, they start being really shitty with me to try and goad me into "revealing my true colors."

Yeah get revenge on a bunch of people who never did anything to them? It’s like paying reparations when your family never owned slaves and even if they did….. You don’t control that.

People who choose to be victims never get anywhere in life because they just are lazy. It’s easier to blame everyone and everything for thier issues. But never try to solve the problems they bring on themselves

LOL, we ALL judge everyone and are in turn judged by everyone we meet in the first few seconds based on clothing, hairstyle, body language, smile, speech, and their friends. It's biology. Survival behavior based on millions of years of evolution. It's not gonna change anytime soon.

You don't KNOW you're right about your assumptions until you can observe the person's actions over a period of time. How often assumptions turn out to be correct or not is a very individual thing, but whenever to you make one, be on high alert.

I mean, you don't know it's right when you make it, hence is the reason it's an "assumption". But yeah, it's a lot less embarrassing and awkward for YOU if it ends up being true. But it's so embarrassing for the other person.

In the vast majority of cases you assumptions will be correct , sure you should not always prejudge , but assumptions on appearance are quite reasonable , generally people know they are sending a message.
