Trump is about to fold to a dictator who started an unprovoked war over territorial expansion, which America used to proudly fight AGAINST, so he needs to make it seem like the other guy is a dictator and that the issue at hand is that it’s a “bad business deal” for America to be involved in.

I was saying somewhere else…my dad is 93 and was a kid during WW2 in America. He’s told me stories about all they went without and all they did back then, just as Americans backing the war effort based on doing what was morally right. Not being able to get leather and other materials. Blacking out streetlights, your home’s windows, even putting tape over the top half of your car headlights here on the East Coast to minimize visibility for some kind of nautical or aerial strike at night on American soil. Women left their homes to work in manufacturing jobs making necessarily military materials. The country pulled together to back a war effort that America was not a necessary player in. Again, the involvement was based on doing what’s right morally and helping out our allies.

Trump and his MAGA cultist followers have no interest in that sort of thing. They want isolationism (other than skirmishes to obtain new territory like our apparent now-“buddy” Putin🤦‍♂️) and keeping everything in-house, and somehow think this will lead to everyone being rich. “A chicken in every pot; a golden toilet in every restroom”, lmfao.

Reality usually isn’t friendly to conservative causes, and certainly not specifically to MAGA causes, so most of their efforts go to telling us all to not believe our lying eyes. They even hilariously try to tell everyone else that THEY’RE the ones telling THEM to not believe their lying eyes. Projection is a big part of their whole game: “every accusation is a confession.” Whatever they someone else is guilty of, it’s probably something they’re guilty of themselves🙄

One important thing to understand about the Trump family is that American banks won’t lend to them, and Donald has a lot of ties to Russian oligarchs, from whom he likely gets a lot of loans. There are also rumors that Putin has something incriminating about Trump, and Trump is forever under Putin’s control. Maybe true, maybe not…but at very least, Trump admires strongman authoritarians like Putin, Kim Jong Un in North Korea, Xi in China, Erdogan in Turkey, Orban in Hungary, etc.

Trump is very image-conscious, and really wants to be viewed as “tough.” The reality is that he’s a candy-ass rich kid who’s probably never been in a fistfight in his life, and just business-bullies people because his father gave him the modern day equivalent of $8M right off the rip.

He forever tarnished his legacy when he lied about the 2020 election being stolen, causing his supporters to riot and assault Capitol Police, just to interfere with the mostly-ceremonial confirmation of the election results. He then was about to be rightly held accountable for a bunch of crimes he likely DID COMMIT (the federal government has like a 98% conviction rate…. they don’t come after you unless they KNOW they’ve got you. All bets are off now though, the administration is filled with Trump loyalists🤦‍♂️), and in order to evade accountability, he declared his run for office like 9 months earlier than anyone ever has just so he could frame it as “lawfare” and politically-motivated. Then, instead of facing and beating all of these supposedly-fake charges, he employed every delay tactic in the book, and ran out the clock on the cases over a couple years time, and getting elected got him off the hook, because America has a policy to not indict sitting presidents with crimes. This dude SHOULD be in jail, and he skated, because he’s rich and powerful, and his supporters are idiots who he’s convinced to not believe anything bad they hear about him, it’s all just “fake news”🙄😒 Plus, he appeals to many of those people’s various bigotries, so they vote against their own interests because they make them feel like it’s ok to be an unapologetic asshole. And they stupidly believe rich people have any interest in making others rich, so they believe this guy will get them more money in their pockets, at the expense of…. well, they don’t care who or what it’s at the expense of, that’s kind of the whole problem.

So…. this ties into Ukraine because “ending the war” was one of his big-talk campaign promises. Believe me, not a soul in the MAGA faction are worried about lives lost or cities destroyed. Empathy isn’t their thing. They’re just wondering “but how much did I have to pay in taxes to cover this?”

And it’s probably not even that much money per person, but the idea of some stranger benefitting and them not getting anything out of it is apparently a nightmare scenario to these people, which says a lot about them, but that’s a different conversation.

Oh, but to tie in the whole thing about the election lies and the ensuing riot…. Trump is a narcissist, he’s in this to be spoken of positively. He wants to be on our monument “Mount Rushmore”, with the faces of four of our allegedly-great former presidents from centuries past. Seriously, he wants that, lmfao. That thing was completed like 80 years ago. It’s FINISHED😂

Anyway, he ran for president to get out of legal trouble, but now he’s trying to do flashy things to try to make people forget about the election lies and the insurrection at the Capitol. Renaming the “Gulf Of America”, lmfao…. and they revoked the Associated Press’ Oval Office press credentials just because they still called it the Gulf Of Mexico, lmfaoooo. These are CLOWNS🤡🤡🤡

So “ending the war” is his goal, but he knows he can’t end the war the right way, so he wants to try to lie to our faces (either that or he’s legitimately fallen for Putin’s Russian disinformation) and tell us that “up” is really “down” and “black” is really “white”, so he can end the war he knows he CAN, and frame it as a huge win rather than the huge loss that it would be In actuality. And if that doesn’t work, he wants you to know this never would’ve happened if Biden wasn’t in office🤦‍♂️😂 This guy is unbelievable, he’s like a child. Immature behavior, tries to cover up misdeeds and failures with lies, but is terrible at lying to most sane adult humans, lmao. Sadly, we have fewer sane adult humans here than I had hoped😞

What’s wrong with isolationism? How did our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan measurably improve our lives?

@WhiteBoyChill Totally agree with staying out of dumb wars. Iraq and Afghanistan, and Vietnam and Korea before them, were stupid wars we had no business fighting. Pursuit of oil or trying to Westernize Middle Eastern Islamic cultures is a stupid reason to go to war. Invasions over Irrational fear of communism, not even in America, but an ocean away in some other country, is a fool’s errand.

America is 0-4 in war since WW2, in terms of accomplishing the mission. And we got away from being the good guy and turned into a bully who decided they liked your sneakers and were going to take them from you, through violence or threat of violence.

Beyond wastes of money and lives, these were just endeavors of bad intentions that our own media has put a friendly spin on, and we still walk around talking about “support the troops” and “thank a veteran”, as if most of our living veterans have contributed something great to the modern world by their military actions. I don’t blame them directly, they signed up for a bad deal, likely out of occupational desperation or societal brainwashing to chase the respect of “hero status” from civilians. I respect them for being on guard and ready to roll, this isn’t about disrespecting vets purposely, this is about our societal culture of “the American military, if involved, MUST, by rule, have benevolent and moral intentions. Our WW2 vets did such a great thing that everyone after them wants a piece of that respect, but unfortunately, our leadership the last 80 years overall has decided to use our military might for immoral and not respectable purposes.

@WhiteBoyChill Anyway, point is, I don’t think true isolationism is a viable reality to protect the world order we have today. Like it or not, America is the biggest kid on the block with some semblance of good intentions, and it’s incumbent upon us to protect the other kids when those bullies from the next block over come around and try to kick you off the basketball court. America is the lynchpin of global geopolitical stability. Yes, we’ll pay more than Belgium is contributing, because we CAN and it’s necessary. Geopolitical stability the last 80 years is why America has had economic stability for the past 80 years. It’s all connected, none of this exists in a vacuum.

I find it unconscionable that Americans have so much energy to make sure LITERALLY TEN trans-women athletes in the NCAA with 500,000 total athletes aren’t fucking with completely-irrelevant-to-the-real-world swimming records, but seemingly so little energy to stop someone like Putin, who 85 years ago, Americans would’ve been frothing at the mouth and our young men literally signing up to go fight in a war against, for no cause other than “doing what’s right in the world..”

If America ever wants to be “great again”, it starts with our citizens being good people with good intentions and worldviews, and I’m seeing a tragic amount of folks who have totally lost the plot for that, and are just worried about having a bigger house and a shiny new F-150 they probably have no functional need for in the driveway.

It seems that Biden did order $350 Million to be sent to Ukraine.. As to whether it got sent remains to actually be clear.. I don't know if the $200 million more than the EU is true, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some truth to it..

I also haven't heard great things about Zelensky.. So, the tweet might have been exaggerated, but I don't think that it was total disinformation..

The information clearly states that this sum was never sent, even if they gave more than 100 billion. The president's popularity rating is also false. And as for the statement on the Ukrainian elections, Trump should read the Ukrainian constitution. Or we could consider Churchill a dictator.

Just because Biden says it doesn't mean it's done, and what's more, most of that money has been invested in American weapons. As for the rest, I don't see what this has to do with anything. Zelensky was elected, then there was the war, so there's no reason to order an election in the middle of a war.

You're right Trump was wrong with the numbers, but he usually does that.. He likes to exaggerate things to make his point..
As for Zelensky, he guy is almost as bad as Putin.. He's just putting lives in danger for a senseless war.. I can understand the contempt for Trumps dramatic numbers, but at least he's trying to get a peace deal..

Actually, I agree with Trump on certain things. I'm beginning to think that whole war was for Zelinsky and his comrade Oligarchs to steal a chunk of those Billions and stick them in an offshore account. Then they can cruise their $Billion yachts to anyplace they want and live anyplace they want. Zelinsky is a con man and Trump and Biden got outconned by him. That is why Zelinsky is not wanting to end the war.

Disinformation may work on an election rally but it doesn't cut the mustard on the international stage. What we need is European politicians who'll stand up to this bully before the public take matters into their own hands.

Assuming the Unites States still exists about 100 years from now, historians will remark that this is the lowest point in the nation's history. We should feel embarrassment the way German people felt about Hitler and the NAZIs after World War II. Historians will realize that the majority of people in the United States at this time are undisciplined, overly emotional, reactionaries who, because they were too lazy and ignorant and disciplined to think things through or with sufficient abstraction, elected a narcissistic, would-be rapist, fraudulent, easily-manipulable, con man as their President... twice. They will also note the near-sightedness, hyperfocused on irrelevant crap Democratic party, so that the United States government at every level was a dysfunctional family circus.

Hopefully, in those next 100 years, there will be several Constitutional Amendments to prevent this sort of debacle from ever happening again.

You need more reliable news sources, I am not saying trump is right since I didn't do enough research to definitively say if he's sight or not. But your also spreading inaccurate information I know will have come from a source with shareholders. Ukraine does not have anything in the constitution that says zelenski has to remain president in war time. They do have provisions of martial law and when martial law is declared many laws get suspended so at that point elections are no longer required. Its up to zelenski if he wants elections or not.

According to your reasoning Churchill is a dictator and there are plenty of examples like that. Moreover the figures given by Trump are absolutely false. And if , The Constitution indirectly prohibits the holding of elections when the country is under martial law - currently in force. The law would have to be changed to respect these election deadlines.

Or he could suspend martial law to hold an election. I'm not saying I think elections make sense in their situation though, I can sympathize with the situation but he has the option to hold elections should be want to. I am against martial law in general and think its a massive risk to freedom.

And yes, my standards for dictator are not high but that's a separate issue that I recently discussed under the post of someone asking if Trump was a dictator.

How is this misinformation? Biden could have tried to put a stop to it but he continued to sent billions to Ukraine with little or no oversight. Zelensky's generals all bought mansions in California and the French Riviera. The Big Guy got his cut as well, at the very least Zelensky kept his mouth shut as to the involvement of the Biden crime family in the money exchanges between the US and Ukraine.

Zelensky will not have an election because he has a 4% approval rate. He really does not have a country left. He has become fabulously wealthy during the last 4 years.

Literally all the money went to American defense contractors. Now Europe is not gonna spend money on U. S. contractors anymore unless they can't get something anywhere else. But honestly I think this is a good thing for Europe. Too long the U. S. was able to use Nato and european politicians and media just went along with whatever tf the U. S. wanted. In the short term there's gonna be some difficulties but long term Europe is gonna be better off. It's gonna stop politicians from being complacent and just doing what's easy and they'll have to actually do their jobs when it comes to defense and foreign policy. We'll see how it plays out it's definitely interesting times :)

Apparently Trump wanted to get Ukrainian Minerals to keep supporting Ukraine but Zelenskyj thought the deal was too one sided in the U. S. favor so now Trump is trying to put pressure on him by siding with the Russians. It's probably all posturing. They will find a deal at some point.

If you are a Trump hater, replace they with you.

We won. they lost. Lay back and enjoy it. They are powerless to do anything about it until Nov 3, 2026. Between now and then, they can vent their hatred and outrage all they want and accomplish nothing, just like masturbating.

The only way they can stop President Trump is with a well placed bullet. They will likely die in the process. Are they willing to die against your country like 29,000 died for their country at Normandy? No? Then scratch that.

They can virtue signal and try to make themselves feel relevant by cherry-picking, name calling, and falsely accusing DJT for anything they hear or can make up. But I have a better idea. They should get off the toilet and try to accomplish something constructive for the country.

Barring that, they can STF Up and sit back down and shake it some more. Then everything will be alllll better.

➡️ Zelensky signed a bill in 2022 expanding his authority to censor and control journalists and media outlets

➡️ And he even threatened journalists with CONSCRIPTION if they were caught investigating alleged corruption.

➡️ Zelensky in his SIXTH year of his five year term. Why? Because he suspended the elections

➡️ He suspended the election knowing he’d get crushed with his pisspoor poll numbers, which are down 40 POINTS since the beginning of the war

➡️ Zelensky has BANNED Ukraine’s largest church, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, accusing them of being tied to Russia

1: That is normal for nations to do during war and something USA has done itself several times.

2: Russia does this and I am pretty sure that is also not true.

3: This is also normal for a country in war.

4: Countries in war often suspends elections because an election is both a vulnerability that enemies can abuse as well as a disruption in the government that would lower the nations ability to fight.

5: That particular Orthodox church is very much a Russian proxy so that is valid.

HAHAHA! Is that what you think is going on? The billionaire elites behind Trump is "dismantling" the deep state and the "globalists" are losing? Dude, they ARE the deep state and globalists.

I believe it's because he chooses to be as such, he works it to his benefit and we don't get to see his plans and actual reasoning until he's ready to reveal them. He has made misinformation an art form. I don't agree on many thing he is doing and fear he's damaging our country in his grand scheme to make America better.

Trump is a habitual liar. It appears the American people have yet to figure that out... they voted for him again. The world is about to find out just how strong American Democracy is. Meanwhile the entire world must suffer as well.

well i would agree with that. it's almost like it only ever gets worse and never better cause every president no matter what side he ends up being on makes things ever so slightly worse.

but either way the usa is fucked. they are on a unchanged and very firm course towards bankruptcy, cause the ammount you pay on interest is already as high as my countries cost of the entire apportionment based retirement fund. there's no effort to reduce debt. but debt still increases. every elementary school kid who just learned how to budget their pocket money knows to do better.

The USA did not give so much money, Zelensky according to the constitution of his country has the right to remain president in case of war (it exists in other countries) and it was not Ukraine that invaded Russia.
