Why are people being selfish so easily these days?

Selfishness is important for existence and it's basic rule of the nature. We should not take it as wrong, but the one who gets used, they do get used only because they can't stand for themselves or for what they want or what they need. And then they blame on others for using them.

Whole world is running on this rule only. Be it a tree, absorbing nutrients from the soil how much they need without caring how many more plats are around them also needing them. But they have to absorb their own and compete. Or a bird eating all the grains themselves without caring how many others also may be needing them.

Yeh some people sacrifice for their loved ones, but even that's one kind of selfishness because those are important to them so they do so. So doing good to them, actually they are satisfying their own emotions.

I am not talking about that selfishness,, I am talking about people who cheats their family members like cousins for the property

Isn't that easier for them than work hard day and night to achieve all those their own? And many can't even have capabilities to do so. But everyone wants more. So why not?

We should know how to protect ourselves and not get cheated rather than complaining about them. They are doing what they need to do to feel good.

Yeh it's morally wrong, but such people don't care about it when they are not capable of getting in through right way but they want it then simply choose to do through wrong way.

At the end nobody see who is moral or who isn't. But most of population give respect to those who has more power or more money. And everyone wants to get on top of that hierarchy. By hook or crook.

Yeh, for different people they do have different priorities. For some being moral and principled is having more value but others have to gain more materialistic things or to look good or powerful. So that makes all the difference.

It has always been like that. Think about back in the days when you had people who did not know how to read or write living like a bum, eating rat meat. The people with all the money, wealth and education prevented them from getting an education, so they can create a monopoly and preserve their riches. Does this sound familiar to you?
