Tariffs haven't really affected prices much yet because the stores are still stocked with old inventory. Products with a 25% tariff will go up 30-35% because the middle man needs to keep his margins and you'll start to see those increases soon. Consumer spending and consumer confidence plummeted this month so the coming inflation when the tariffs kick in will likely lead to a recession. The markets go first then the consumer economy follows shortly after.
