If we had to boycott every store that did anything we didn't like, we'd probably be naked, homeless and starving by now.
That said, we try to avoid Target as much as possible if for no other reason, it has just become schlocky on SO many fronts, not just letting their politics invade their merchandise selection. They DO have a good selection of cough drops at reasonable prices so we will get those.
We try to aim a little closer to the source, more at the companies that make the stuff and/or their distributorship lines whenever possible. Unilever gets B&J ice cream? They get the headaches that go with it, plus we also avoid getting Hellman's (darn it) Suave and other Unilever products as a bonus! I won't even go NEAR Busch and its parent company!!! Dollar Tree is having fewer items "made in China" (still a high percentage, though). A lot of their toiletries now come from Canada, a bit of an improvement. Will always look for US, as Barbasol products, etc. I could go on, but I need a nap.

I can't recall that I have. Two reasons:
First, it's not going to make a difference. It just won't. So, in that case I'll serve self: I'm not going to make it harder for me and my family to get goods and services with an action that brings about no change.
Second, I don't believe that companies should (key word) be instruments of social change. Is it good business? Yes. Should society and government force companies? No. Companies need to follow the law and we all should go from there. There purpose is to provide goods and services, not to force or uphold social change.
As always, great question!
No because it usually has unintended consequences. The CEO and upper management still collect their inflated salaries and bonuses and it’s the rank and file worker just trying to pay their bills who bears the brunt with a layoff when sales diminish. So no, I don’t pay much attention to any of these boycott attempts.
Yes, Hobby Lobby because of their mistreatment of their workers and ChickFilA because they have financed genocide and refuse to even acknowledge their responsibility in the matter, let alone change their ways

i rarely go to chic-fi-la due to their anti-lgbtq stance. it was a full boycott when they were donated to conversion camps for children but when they pulled back from that i started going on occasion.
i would never by one of those My Pillow things not because the owner is a trump supporter but because he is a lunatic who shouldn't have tons of money at his disposal
I personally boycott Disney because they buy everything they can and turn it into the lowest common denominator garbage to make a dollar.
2024 is going to be a favorite year for me because THE mickey mouse is officially public domain. He will get rung into the dirt really quickly. The next Calvin detal pissing on everything. It needs to be brutal.
OMG I can't stop laughing!!! That's hilarious! "All that's wrong in the world"!!! I think I can agree with that for a totally different reason...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/zsDA2os1aD8I don't know if you would call it boycott.
But i never have and never will buy from stores like Shein. They steal designs and pollute the environment, There are other clothes stores like them, but Shein is the most shitty one.I only boycott movies and shows for being too woke, but I don't go often to movie anyway.
I won't go into Target anymore because they want to be woke. There is a new supermarket in town called Market Basket. They will not take a personal check without me giving the supermarket access to my bank account so I will never go back there again.
no bc it won't change anything if i stopped and just make my life more inconvenient
I refuse to buy anything sold by or made by Apple. Cheap underpowered crap.
I only boycott stores I can't afford.. am too broke for rich stuff😂😓 and don't really care for it but if I ever get rich and see something I like I'd buy it
I avoid some retailers because of their expressed ideology. I patronize others for the same reason. I avoid and associate with people for the same reason.
Yes, the store in which I have bought my pantyhose. They got ripped off after just a few wearings. :)
Not really.
I mean I don't tend to go into women's clothes shops, but only because I don't wear womens clothes. Can't think of any shop I wouldn't go into on ethical groundsI boycot any business that involves itself in politics. Just turn a profit and shut up.
Yes, Menards.
They built a store where a great racetrack was located.
Haven't been to one since.
Usually just ones with rainbow flags out front haha
Stores which sell Guns to 18 year olds but tell them they can't buy alcohol because they are not 21
