Let’s deal with facts. More people try to immigrate to the USA than any other country. Most European countries have more strict immigration laws than the USA and they want to keep their population as homogenous as possible. The countries in Europe which achieve such high quality of life scores don’t want to welcome people from other places as the fear is those people will negatively affect the culture.
