How else do you expect the wealthy to save $170,000 in taxes with $880 billion going to millions of children & millions of adults including 2 in 3 nursing home residents?

Serious part : They killed CFPB which saved consumers $5 billion a year by capping $5 bank transition fees alone…. Not anymore. Tariffs are going to raise American consumers’ prices at the grocery store and hardware store / electronics retailers, yet no one seems to care. Wasn’t the goal government efficiency that looks after the working class? Well it makes government even less efficient than it already was and will take decades to correct the mistakes made in the present. We aren’t great again, we are great depression at this rate.

He hasn't cut Medicare, and he CAN'T cut Medicare by himself. The Republicans are being sneaky about it, surprise, surprise.

They could never get it through as a line item in the budget because they'd be on record directly and risk getting voted out of office during the mid term elections. Instead, they passed a "blueprint resolution", not a law, instructing the COMMITTEES that oversee Medicare and Medicaid, such as the House Ways and Means committee and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, to find $880 BILLION dollars to cut from their budgets. This would likely have to come from Medicare, Medicaid, and similar programs.

Even if the House approves cuts in those programs and passes such a bill, it also has to get through the Senate. The fact that the current regime is trying to do this, once again goes against EVERY promise that almost EVERY Republican made to their constituency. Only a few R's said out loud that Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security were on the chopping block, but they weren't up for re-election.

In any event, it's all bullshit when it comes to saving money. Cutting essential human services has never been the way to balance a budget or lower a national debt; they just want you to THINK that "poor folk, the unwell and the elderly" are the cause for all your problems, and not income disparity or taxes on churches and the very wealthy.

@amy10223 Would you please cite some sources for this? My Google search of "Trump Medicare cuts" says nothing like this, that he is committed to not touch Medicare (Medicaid cuts are possible) other than reducing Medicare drug costs.
