If being "woke" isn't a real thing, what would you call the 20% of Americans that want men in women's sports?

And whatever you choose to call this 20%, why do you suppose the 20% are always harping on the loss of democracy? What democracy are they talking about?

Most of those 20% don't REALLY even care either way. They're simply repeating the position of their "tribe" without any thought of their own - they've been trained NOT to think and rather just to parrot what they're told to think. They're really just virtue signaling, and feel good because they are told by their tribe that they're doing the right thing. When a woman gets injured, even sent to the hospital with permanent injuries, or just loses her place on a team that she worked years for, they just shrug and say "oh well."

There's a small core group of hard-core activists who push for this stuff - less than 2% of the population. But they've gotten used to calling people names and terrorizing them into compliance, and back when they could get people canceled and banned and fired from their job with those words, they had some real power, but they've been exposed as the frauds they always were, and few people take them seriously anymore.

A few will, but most won't. Being a member of a group is too important to them to let things like reality or logic interfere.

@Syntosi Women's sports are separate from male sports for two very good reasons:

1. It would be virtually impossible for a woman to ever hold a record when competing against men, and that's pretty unfair to women. By having a separate women's league, you allow for their own records, and their own team positions, and their own scholarships and sponsorships, thus allowing them to compete and win without having to compete directly against men.

2. In many sports, it's outright unsafe for women to compete directly against men. A couple of years ago, a trans woman (aka a man) was on a woman's college volleyball team and spiked a ball at another woman's face hard enough not only to put her in the hospital, but to give her a permanent brain injury. Not only can she never play sports again, she may never be able to function as a normal adult. And this is one of several examples of major injuries being suffered by women at the hands of a male.

Women represent HALF of all humans. Trans people represent less than 1% of all humans. See the difference?

There's no reason women can't play sports, and we had women's sports for 100 years without any drama. It's not complicated. Women's sports are for WOMEN, not MEN who think they are women.

I'd say 8 out 10 don't agree and move on with your life from this topic and focus on more important things.

Right wing has redefined being woke to fit whatever they want it to mean. In reality in real life this isn't really happening much, and although you're certainly entitled to your opinion, and should voice it with empathy for everyone, it's not really a real issue that's in women's sports. I mean I found somewhere there's less than 10 transgender athletes in women's college sports. That was Dec of 2024. Hey if that's an outrage to you then write to those colleges and make your argument.

My concern is how much time this consumes the avg right wing voter, when it's a non issue for 99.99 situations but it takes up a lot of conversation in right wing spaces. It's distracting people from seeing more pressing issues that concern society.

I just wish there was this much outrage for healthcare for all, paid family leave, higher wages for the majority of folks and higher tax rates for the rich. People can't buy groceries, and our president lied when he said he'd lower them as well as stop the war in Russia on day 1 and the list goes on. Where's your outrage here? Oh yeah it's all Biden's fault lol.
