What do you think of this new bill in California, that if passed would essentially make it illegal to defend your home from robbers?

A California bill introduced last month would require homeowners to exhaust all reasonable means of escape before using deadly force against intruders or face homicide charges.

Assembly Bill 1333, introduced by Democratic Caucus Chair Rick Chavez Zbur, seeks to modify the state’s justifiable homicide laws. The bill states it would “eliminate certain circumstances under which homicide is justifiable, including, among others, in defense of a habitation or property.” It also aims to “clarify circumstances in which homicide is not justifiable, including, among others, when a person uses more force than necessary to defend against a danger."

All i can say is i thank god i dont live in the leftist shit hole California.. I live in a place with STRONG stand your ground laws and STRONG castle laws, and guns out number the population. I don't think any judge is going to find fault with someone getting shot in the gut standing inside the threshold of a ca residence uninvited. And the bill is just proposed, not passed.

I thought you might. It's why I love living where I am. If your land is 100 acres, all you have to do is warn a trespasser once, and you have the right to shoot. If it's less than that, you have to retreat to your house, and warn them, if they don't take the warning you can shoot them. And if someone breaks in, armed or not, you have the right to shoot them.
