"A radical bill is making its way through the California state legislature that would permit the state’s child protective services bureaucrats to seize children from parents who do not affirm the child’s chosen gender identity.

The California State Senate Judicial Committee heard testimony on AB957 that was introduced by Assembly member Lori Wilson and State Senator Scott Weiner, both far-leftist Democrats. Legislation AB 957 cleared the committee with an 8-1 vote on Tuesday.

San Francisco Senator Weiner also introduced a bill that would require foster parents to affirm the gender of a child entering their home and another bill that would grant access to sex changes for minors without parental consent.

One California state senator, however, is so alarmed by his state’s rapid movement toward totalitarian communism that he plans to not only leave the state senate, but also leave the state. Senator Scott Wilk also warned parents to flee the state of California if they love their children."

California is truly paradise lost. I grew up there and left when I was 22, and I'm glad I did. The state politics are pure insanity.

I foresee a civil war in California's future. There are still a lot of normal people there who are growing increasingly fed up with the political insanity that is destroying the state. They love the state and consider it home but they hate what has happened to it and want to make it normal again. They care enough about it to do something about it. It's coming.

Well if it’s true it’s stupidity at its finest. Can’t drink till you’re 21. Can’t smoke till you’re 21. Can’t purchase a handgun till you’re 21. But old enough to make a conscious decision to serve in the military, which means carrying a gun, possibly dying in war at the age of 18. Which makes no sense being trusted at 18 to possibly take someone’s life but still can’t be trusted to drink or smoke. Now you’re old enough to make a decision like this as to whether you want to be a boy or girl?

Parents are held legally responsible for the actions of their children until the child reaches the age of reason, typically 18. How can any law (like this bill) violate that?
