You know, why don't we just have the federal government employ everyone? I mean, it worked out so well for Mainland China and the Soviet Union. Under Communism, everyone has "a job", even if it's in a gulag.

When you work for a company that is in bad financial condition there are usually layoffs. The reason that a disproportionate number of veterans work for the government is because they get preference so naturally more veterans will be fired.
