Nope. I don't see why anyone would want cryptocurrency when quantum computing hasn't been released to the public, but exists in the back halls of government laboratories. America specifically has the Quantum Initiative and is currently building the Quantum Internet. All current encryption standards will be broken. So theoretically, the government could just break everyone's keys and take all their crypto and trade it to fools that are willing to accept it.

That is one of the major issues with CBDC, is that the government can just take your shit anytime anywhere without your consent if you don't go along to get along. Other issue like privacy and tracking, quantitative easing , etc. are also issues. If your government has quantum computers they can mine currency way faster than the general public and thus print money and manipulate supply of currency to manipulate the economy and cause inflation like any other fiat.

I know government want to do this DARPA’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI) is currently working with Microsoft and PsiQuantum to determine if it is possible to build an industrially useful quantum computer that has a computational value that exceeds its cost, thus turning a profit. What's more profitable than just printing money? Hahaha yeah... That's what they want to do.

I think that is a fair idea (it's low cost with possible reward); however, I don't agree with the first part... about retaining those assets seized.

those should be used first to pay back those whom were ripped off and as well may create an incentive to illegally take assets.

No, it just takes away the ability for the commoner to grow his wealth. Inflates the value of the currency as the gov has the $ to buy large sums then liquidate for real $ meanwhile the commoner takes a loss for their investment
