Really? Is that what you think happened? The left wing in USA has not gone anywhere in decades. USA is falling behind in the progress towards the left that the rest of the developed world has experienced. The only thing that has truly changed in USA is how extreme and crazy the right wing has gotten.

Just look at the policies yourself if you want. The left wing is holding pretty much the same positions it always has where as the right wing is now openly talking about revoking US citizenship, amending the constitution to remove rights and closing down the VA.
