How can leftists say the right has moved further right?

The right props up gay people like Dave Rubin and trans people like Blaire White. Most support gay marriage and interracial marriage. 70 years ago they'd beat those people up. 70 years ago a lot of lefties would as well, so wtf?

just look at the evolution of the abortion issue alone

the Right starts off pro-life, the Left starts off with exceptions for medical emergencies such as miscarriage (which technically isn't abortion anyway)

the Left then includes exceptions for rape and incest (never mind some people alive today are a product of such but are conveniently ignored)

then the Left includes excuses for not being ready, inconvenience, lifestyle difficulties and installs time limits and with each passing year the time limits extends and extends up until the moment of birth

now the Left want unlimited abortions without restrictions for whatever reason (or rather they don't want the reason to be a statistic)

the Right on the other hand is slowly getting pulled from pro-life to pro-choice with exceptions that aren't even hardline

and you watch as a baby is later referred to as a fetus and then referred to a clump of cells and then referred to as a parasite and then referred to as a tumor

and then there's the LGBTQIAP+

homosexuality and bisexuality suddenly includes gender transitioning for adults, then gender transitioning for barely legal adults and then gender transitioning for minors and then gender transitioning minors without consent

should I start with climate change as well?

the left has become so radical that now they believe anyone who disagrees with them whether 0.001% regardless of their political views is automatically with the right.

and now that they have fucked it up for themselves beyond repair and cause the whole world to hate them for good reason they now assume that the whole world is the right trying to get them.

Yes and no… they had to take an orange pill to get there (libertarians and anarcho capitalists) which are actually to the left of the democrats and by some definitions even further left than the socialists. So I don’t think they’re inherently right, hence people using the term alt right, though it’s hard to call the mainstream alternative.


So I’d say the usual left right divide has been gradually redefined as a rural working class vs city elite divide over the past 20-30 years since Clinton’s era.

Because thats just what they want to believe. They very conveniently forget that it was the Republicans who fought to end slavery, and the Republican states that first voted to give women rights. Meanwhile it was the Democrats who have always been on the other end, doing their best to keep everyone who isn't a post-birth, white male dehumanized.
