He has said that anytime there is a mass layoff there might be people that should be rehired. He has a big job fixing the economy and a short period of time to do it. A few mistakes will be made.
When you make an omelet you have to break some eggs.
Because he wants good people working in the government. You have to fire the unnecessary and incompetent people, and then provide jobs for the people who are actually contributing value.
He rehired the people he fired. He didn't get replacements for them. I guess he was wrong.
No, that's not really how the hiring and firing process works in government. He wasn't wrong in the sense you mean it, but I get what you're saying.
