What form of accountability is going to help all the people who are harmed by his moronic executive orders? Special needs kids derailed for life who then become dependent on government support that isn't going to be there in our new Capitalist Fascist state for billionaires. Rural schools who lose funding and have to cut staff forcing larger class sizes.
The shithole states are gonna try to completely destroy public education and force everyone into private "for profit" Christian schools. That should create a new generation of fanatics disconnected from reality. Exactly what the Oligarchs want. A population of stupid ignorant peasants who are easily controlled with propaganda.
How can tRump be held accountable for that chain of events?
System has been broken for a long time. We had a teacher who did nothing but promote left wing politics. He gave passing grades to black students. Gave weird lectures about gender and gender reassignment operations and was allowed to take sex ed where he passed out butt plugs and other toys and talked about his preferred sex postions and how important promiscuity is in today's world. The guy is on suspended leave right facing serious charges related to an underage girl. Half of my high-school left with low literacy rates. Schools don't educate pupils anymore, they are basically babysitting facilities keeping children there until they are 18 so their parents can work. My boyfriend comes from Africa, his school had no money yet everyone at his school could read, write and do math at a high standard so it's not funding that's the problem.
What does holding anyone accountable do? They never go to jail or suffer any loss. When a president says, "I'll take the blame for that" nothing happens. So why say it except to save some face?
Held accountable for what? Our education system has been failing long before Trump was in his first term. If you go back and look at the history of our education system, we had one of the best education systems with good outcomes, than things started going down hill after the Department of Education was introduced and has been on a downward spiral over the past 40 years to where it's at today. It's about time we get rid of the disastrous Department of Education and put education back in the hands of local communities.

Well partially. But it will be mostly up to the school districts themselves if the children turn out worse off. What i will say is demolishing things that helped even if it was flawed for some is not gonna help if there is nothing else to help fill that need.
Education was already broken. America spends the most per pupil on education by far and consistently scores near the bottom of all industrialized nations. This is well documented. Throwing more money at the problem which is what democrats like to do will not fix the problem.
President Trump is getting rid of the bureaucracy which is basically just a front for the teachers union and putting the money where it will do the most good.
Department of Education broke education along with many other lower forms of government such as city government. Trump is just getting rid of an expensive, useless and harmful Federal Department of Education which has overseen the US going from number 1 in education to number 34 if I recall correctly.
50 MILLION KIDS IN USA SCHOOLS. They have voting parents, faculty, staff, relatives & neighbors.
When the special ed accommodations disappear, when the student loans are serviced by private lenders at eye watering rates, when there is no investigatory authority for con artist charter schools then the whirlwind will be SEVERE. Good luck MAGAs. It's unpopular by a 2
Zero students in 33 schools in Illinois can read at grade level. 22 schools in Baltimore have zero children proficient at math. Overall only 1/3 of students in grade school are performing at grade level
based on NAEP’s 2022 data, approximately:
33% of fourth graders and 31% of eighth graders are reading at or above a proficient level.
36% of fourth graders and 26% of eighth graders are doing math at or above a proficient level.
Not entirely. He's just finishing up a trend that started in the 1970s when stated stared "defunding" our schools by switching over to a lottery for funding.
It’s already failed. Look at the test scores for reading. Writing. Math. History. Among many other things.
Education was broken a long time before this. And it was broken by the Department of Education
Him and the states. In 30 years kids across the south won’t know anything about slavery and will probably be taught that Columbus was a good and righteous man.
homeschool!
Oh come on... it will be Bidens fault. Everyone knows that.
Isn’t the argument, it’s already failed? Except that it hasn’t really. But he doesn’t want broad-based education. He wants a complacent workforce that’s easier to control
We won, you lost. Elections and results matter. See you at the Midterms.
No the accountability would go to the state that is failing.
Liberals destroyed education. Now they can own it.
