It's okay to buy a Toyota car in America. Just buy one that was made in America. It's really not that complicated to me.

Let's sayTrump brings back EVERY manufacturing job that's been lost since NAFTA. Great right? NO!!
You rob the international workers of their jobs and lose them as consumers for your now domestically produced product. Now you've got too many goods (supply) chasing too few dollars (demand). That leads to extra inventory, price collapse & smaller profits. Corps don't like smaller profits. They lay off workers instead and the jobs never materialize.
OR
You create an INFLATIONARY market with too much work to be done in USA and not enough labor to do it.
That leads to demands for raises because the market is so tight. The wage demands will be extreme because there's no chance for those laborers to advance or switch jobs - too much work to be done a it is.
That leads to corporations demanding LOOSER and QUICKER IMMIGRATION to depress wages which Trump won't allow leading to even MORE INFLATION and no way out other than AUTOMATION to lower wages. That gives you two options if your looking down the Barrell of tarriffs:
1) The repatriated companies grant raises to domestic workers and factor that into the product cost.
Congratulations! A wage-price spiral without end!
2) The repatriated companies build new factories that are AUTOMATED so they can recoup their long term investment.
Congratulations!! You get INFLATION from a trade war and no domestic jobs are created.
MAGA nomics is the worst. You people don't understand shit.
LOL, get a clue, kiddo.
A lot of what you buy CAN'T be made in America - it's why they are imported. Very little labour is "slave labour" - they get paid whatever is reasonable in their country. You paying more does not mean you get a "stronger military" - quite the opposite.
With higher costs you buy less, and pay less tax. Not to mention most military costs are a waste. The Pentagon has never passed an audit, nor produced anything other countries can't match or excel... and at lower costs.
60% of Toyota America's parts are produced in Mexico, with another 20% in Canada. there is no car produced in America - only assembled.
So it's not "complicated" to you, as you are daft as fuck, and have no clue on the subject.
Why are you such a moron?
Kiddo why are you the biggest asshole on this site?
Why are you allowed to harass people on this site?
What a stupid troll you are. "No car is made in America." You have never heard of Ford, Chevy, or Tesla? And are you completely dumb that you don't realize that domestic jobs would bring in more taxes, not less. This is just the icing on the cake of your misleading and hostile statements. Go back to your dreary island and cry about how Lord Bumblefuck left you a large house that you can't afford to maintain.
What half of America does not understand is that forcing businesses out of other countries and into America is not going to make businesses thrive in America. They were outside for a reason. They were attempting to stay in business.

This doesn't answer your question specifically but I'll say that it is dangerous to depend too much on other countries to get stuff we need. You never want to be in the situation where that if relations with that country go bad and they decide to stop supplying you then you are screwed.
Bring back, but keep trading so we get the others quality products. Lets be honest, our soil is trashed. No comparison to China or Indian soil.
We played out the outsourcing game and trade is out of whack. So gotta fix that.
I try to buy American made goods as much as possible. They might be a little more expensive but the quality is much better. Lots of cheat crap I have bought from China ended up falling apart after a few months.
That is an interesting take. But the un asked question is should we allow unbridled capitalism decide that we must assume all costs for people forced into treating people like humans?
Products made by slave labor? No.
I''m perfectly happy with a balance between products made in America and products legitimately made in other countries.
Gee i did not know that Canada and Europe has slave labor Go figure.
Should I have asked that only people with a working brain answer?
American goods would cost more for a while but it would even out if we let the law of supply and demand take course, but that would be pretty hard to do because government seems to love interfering with that.
I agree with you for sure.
Bring jobs back.
Bring jobs back
Yes it is
