Taking responsibility is always preferable to deflection, so yes—credit where it’s due to Mike Waltz for owning the SIGNAL leak fallout. That said, responsibility should lead to real accountability and change, not just a press statement. As for Trump, he’s often a lightning rod for blame whether it’s justified or not, but minimizing or ignoring national security issues shouldn’t be normalized by anyone, regardless of party.
