He didn't lose since he wasn't running. The state voted for someone that had more than double the amount that Schimel spent on the election, and it was mostly out of state money. Can you say Soros? It was the most expensive seat in history.
So you may want to delve a bit deeper into this subject.
The state still has the legislature that still makes the laws, and there still is the Supreme court that can overrule the state court.
As for choosing justice, judges are supposed to be fair and impartial, neutral on issues and make their decisions based on the facts.
In her own speeches Crawford came out and said how she would decide certain issues if those cases ever got to court before the cases were even heard. She already has preconceived verdicts not based on any facts. That is not the definition of justice.
So while it might make a difference on a few cases, judges do not make the laws, there are checks and balances to keep decisions fair and based on facts.
Because of what she has come out in public and has said she has pretty much automatically set up the path to appeals and being overruled by a higher court.

Yeah! And what is more dumbfounded is, the man who lost to a woman conceded with grace even though his tone was disappointed also defeated…

This man had at least the integrity to accept the election results as his own supporters booed him on, he stood his ground like a true election runner. You run an election, give it your all, spread your message, hold rallies, etc. then once all the dust settles you are either giving a victory speech and sworn in OR you concede and congratulate your opponent. This man chose the best option even when it hurt the supporters to hear the truth.

P. S. I’m leaving out the controversies surrounding the guy and just basing this on the concession speech.

Wisconsin is generally a blue liberal state. that already has a liberal State Supreme Court. Susan Crawford's win over Brad Schimel is not that unexpected, nor is it the end of the world for Republicans.

@goaded Let's be honest. All election maps, no matter where you are, are gerrymandered to favor the group in power, whenever that is. It's interesting that the US Constitution forces states to redraw congressional maps every 10 years, using census results (census is required every 10 years), since the number of the state's representatives in Congress is determine by the census, and population of the state relative to the country as a whole typically changes every 10 years.

Don't forget the Florida special elections. Those seats in November were won by 33 and 32 percent and they each won by 14 last night. Republicans are headed for huge defeafs in the midterms if they don't do a 180 on what they are doing right now.
