This is a period of adjustment. We all knew it was coming, because it's a result of uncertainty. But other countries are already working with the US to make deals to reduce or remove the tariffs - which was the main goal the entire time. Yes, for a few months, things will be volatile, and once things get straightened out, the markets will bounce back.
Big changes cause investors to panic, but the panic goes away once they begin to understand the new situation.01 Reply- 1 y

1 yWell, nice emotional reaction.
I do not know what will happen. He is attempting to balance trade. No more of us adding a 10% tariff while the other country has a 90% tariff on our stuff.
USA cars almost non-existant in other countries due to the expense while millions of Japanese, German, Korean cars are sold here.
He is balancing it.
I do not know if it will work.
Time will tell.
Time... not a few weeks and left wing liars acting like the world is ending.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yThe stock market has now lost over $9 trillion in value since Trump’s inauguration and he’s out the selling $5M gold cards with his face on them…. Trump has made America an embarrassment for Americans and a laughingstock to the world.
Also, Trump “loves” our country & our troops so much, he’s opted out of attending the dignified transfer of the 4 U. S. soldiers who died in Lithuania so he can hobnob at his gilded roach motel with the financial backers of 9/11 instead.
America first though, right?
You fucking idiots.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yAll things considered, yes we are.
I find it comical how much you democrats have complained about Trump since he took office despite all the good things he has been doing. Not a single positive word from you about how many $ billions he has saved taxpayers, or how he has stopped the uncontrolled flow of illegal immigrants. Nothing. Why is that?
The man has only been in office for 76 days. Give it some time.

1 yLet's be honest. You hardcore Democrat fanatics always cry about everything Trump does. The moment he becomes president, you nit pick on everything you possibly can. This tariff thing is the perfect gift for you now to cry about on a daily basis. The administration already explained what you can expect, but you are still here crying. I wonder where you leftists were during the travesty that was the Biden/Cackles administration. Oh yea, you spend the whole 4 years damage controlling and making excuses for them.
118 Reply- 1 y
@goaded How is Trump breaking the law on a daily basis? Could you explain that please? Joe from MSNBC was shocked when he learned that butter costed 7 dollars at the end of Biden's term. Why do you think Trump gained so many Hispanic voters on the election? Because Biden and Cackles were so amazing? Biden has break the law with his open border policy and the 13 million illegal criminals who came in, and the fact that he let men play in women's sports. Ask Payton McNabb and how her career was destroyed because of it.
- 1 y
Um, deporting people with no due process? Illegally firing people and closing down government departments required by law?
Biden did not "break the law with his open border policy", because there was never any such thing, and Trump hasn't managed to deport people faster than Biden because the law and resources like immigration judges doesn't allow it. (The bipartisan bill to add more judges was blocked by Trump.)
Trump has deported an innocent man who had an explicit court order keeping him from being returned to El Salvador, and you should be very concerned about that. Do you understand this? ↗ - 1 y
@goaded The garbage bipartisan bill you are talking about was 3 years too late. It would have been implemented in early 2024, and it would have been an amnesty bill, meaning that it still would have let in 1.5-2 million people yearly. What the hell was Biden doing when millions of people were coming in from early 2021 to late 2023? the Democrats had the presidency, the senate, and the house. Trump was able to close the border on day 1, and since than there is no surge at all. There's a guy on YouTube called Nick Shirley. He was on the border recently and he interviewed many people who live near there. They said since Trump took over they didn't saw a single soul, while under Biden, it was a daily chaos. See it for yourself. By the way, Obama also deported millions of people during his presidency, but when Trump does it it's all of a sudden bad? Give me a break. If you come in illegally, you broke the rule.
- 1 y
So it could have been running for a year, and it didn't include any "amnesty".
Nobody's got a problem with deporting illegal immigrants, we've got a problem with Trump breaking the law.
"Obama also deported millions of people during his presidency" while Republicans were claiming the border was totally open. Funny how that works. - 1 y

11 of the last 12 single day stock market crashes have occurred while Trump was President. One was Biden. You say "the administration explained what you can expect" AS IF that's a brilliant piece of information? LMAO Of course we knew that. You're another guy who can't Google competently or read a chart, and from the sounds of it, actually believe that billionaires give a flying fuck about you.
The only real Biden travesty was that Trump didn't get prosecuted for his most serious crimes, because Garland is a wimp. - 1 y
@loveslongnails Here we go again with the "you think a billionaire gives a fuck about you" bullshit. What makes you think a career politician cares about you more? If we talk about billionaires, why don't you talk about Democrat donors like George Soros? Trump never picked up his salary as president, because he doesn't need it, but he is the selfish one, right? The fact that Trump already secured the border shows how bad of a president Biden was.
The EU and a lot of other countries are ready to negotiate with Trump. Nobody gives a fuck about the stock market because it's temporary. Just like Trump said, only stupid people, and cowards panic because of this. He will leave the office in 2029 as by far the best president of the 21st century. - 1 y
As usual, you miss the point. The difference is that one party is content letting the crumbs fall off the truck to feed the "middle, working class" because they understand they grease the machinery. The other party wants Gilead. You're so impressed that Trump doesn't take a $400 k salary, but you don't give shit that every time he plays golf, it costs taxpayers $3 million.
"Nobody gives a fuck about the stock market" just shows what an absolute dolt you are, OR just a cruel person. Millions of people who scraped and saved all their working life to a save a measly $250,000 plus social security to retire on, are now turning 65-72 years old. They don't have 4 or 5 years wait and see what happens to their portfolio and HOPE it recovers. You're too young (that's being kind) to remember that the Great Depression lasted 12 years. Yeah, that's temporary. Tell me about it. Tell those who worked all their lives and DIDN'T vote this total moron Russian asset into office.
You think the border is secure? LMAO. Wait till there's no one to work the fields entirely, or build houses, or do the shit work no American wants to do. Remember it then, cult boy. If he lasts till the end of his term, or not, Trump will be remembered as one of the worst this country every suffered through, and the numbers will prove it. But if all goes P-2025's way, real history will be erased anyway, and all that will remain is your ignorant, lying narrative. The only light coming from you is propaganda and foolish kool-aid bullshit. - 1 y
@loveslongnails I love the hypocrisy of you hardcore Democrat fanatics. One time you lie that the border crisis is not Biden's fault, the other time you say that illegal immigrants are needed. So which one is it clown? They are not needed, because all of them are criminals. If you don't get vetted and you go into a country illegally, you're a criminal. There is a reason why Cackles and the woke Democrats lost. You can make excuses all day, and parrot "cult, and Russia" all day. Normal people don't want their country to become a zoo. Like Trump said. Don't panic, because that's what stupid people and cowards do. He will make America better than it ever was, and he will do it fast.
1 yJust remember the stock market is not the economy. It is for property owners and people that trade stock, but to the average American... the ability to just get a job, pay the rent, buy a car, or have a chance to buy a house is the economy.

I will hold on and bare with you because I know you have a plan I can trust that will gain back all I've lost and then some. I know this because of your past record. I know you care about me. I know you want what's best best for me. I know you will help me. I know this because you have told me, and I know you never lie to me. Thank you, Mr. President. I love you so much.

There are a lot of positive things in the economy and Canada has said they will drop their tariffs if Trump does the same. Israel will do the same and I believe Japan has called Trump and wants to talk. Ford has offered discounts on their vehicles effectively cancelling any increase due to tariffs. I imagine other companies will follow.
Next week will be a different story.
Asker1 yYes, it will be worse...
- 1 y
280,000 jobs were created in the US during the month of March. 33,000 jobs were lost in Canada. Canada has already relented and Vietnam and Cambodia have also wants to eliminate their tariffs if Trump does the same. The Japanese PM had called Trump today and wants to talk.
The first countries to work with Trump will get the best deals. Most are aware of this. - 1 y
@exitseven You might as well ignore these morons... they know absolutely nothing about what they speak... You know as well as I, when the smoke settles on the tariffs, the market will go full steam ahead as usual... might as well save your breath on these ner-do-well self styled economists.

1 yI'm not going to panic over two days, though I am cautiously watching things. The market was expected to drop when the tariffs started since that creates economic uncertainty. I'm in for the long haul. Let's see what happens over time.

@AviatorTom it's just unfortunate for people like my parents that lost a significant amount of money in their retirement accounts. They tried to make adjustments when Trump got elected because they knew he would f up the economy. My parents are in their 70s and need to go back to work now. Some people, retirees, don't like to be used as bait. That's what he's doing with us. Using us as bait admitting we need to suffer more hardship then we already do, while he plays golf and Elon is still living in castles.
