Do you say any words that people laugh about because of where you are from?

I am originally from South New Jersey and when I say water , it comes out as wooter , people where I live now laugh at me for how I say it , it just comes natural to me , I also bust their chops as well on their vocabulary as well , which I actually find worse then mine is LOL , Do you say words that other people will try to correct you on? Please share

When I lived in the western US people would get me to say "steel wool". I can't pronounce the ending L. So it comes out as "steo woe".

I don't do it myself, but some people around here say "warsh" instead of "wash".

When George Bush was president, people got on his case for saying "nuculer" instead of "nuclear". (with a U instead of an E). That's the same way I say it. I'm from a completely different part of the country than Bush, so I assume that pronunciation is pretty widespread.

I'm from a small town in Missouri and when I worked in St. Louis County I tried to avoid saying y'all. My boss was also from a small town and he would say warsh instead of wash.

Well, I still have my Valley Girl accent. I mean totally!! You can hear me using my accent but I don't remember for which words.

That’s where I live now and their vocabulary is horrible to me lol Yinz here yet instead of You or use , there are so many lol They also say Don for a girls’ name instead of Dawn , Dawn is a guys’ name here lol I can go on and on , that’s why I am not changing wooter lol

I was raised in Kennedy Country. I even had occasion to attend a pool party in Hyannis that included of the Kennedy kids. They sure had that Pahk the Cah accent. I sound a little like that and can emulate it well. When I travel to the South, I get a lot of remarks.
