I've been involved in church and preached for almost 30 years. My favourite mug to spot the religious killjoys says "Jesus Saves - With the Bethlehem Bank"

If you can't see humour in how Jesus lived His life in the Gospels, or how God worked in the Old Testament (I'm looking at you, Balaam) there's something very wrong with you!

One night, we were playing a gig in Youngstown and Tim (my guitarist) and I, both Irishmen, and our sax player a Jew, went into the bathroom shortly before going on stage. Charles & Tim bellied up to adjacent urinals and started to piss while I was washing my hands in the sink. Charles says to Tim, "You know how you can tell there's no Jews here tonight?" Tim says, "No, how?" Charles says, "There's a penny in the urinal!".
