This is genuinely a difficult question.

My own simplified answer is to make it an exam. Like a driver's license. You demonstrate basic ability of comprehension, you get to vote. Whether 6 or 60, same criteria.

I also believe, in light of recent events, we might want a test for government officials to demonstrate basic understanding of their work before being allowed to dictate policies on it. Basically if I am to change tax laws, I should first demonstrate I understand what I want to change and why it is the way it is.

Wow I dunno. It’s encouraged for more people to go vote. Does a child really know who the person is they are voting for? Are they voting off of parent’s influence?

The same can be said to someone who’s barely 18. I don’t have an answer for this. It’s very hard to say what should be allowed.

We are in a very tension filled atmosphere, condemning each other for supporting whoever person. We’re on edge. I don’t we’ll ever come to an agreement.

My son is six. Yesterday he wanted to be a ninja when he grows up. Today he wants to be a T-Rex.
