That's one of the worst political ideas I've ever heard. I'd be more in favor of one banning political parties outright, and I KNOW what a clusterfuck that would be. Do you want to end up stuck in a pseudodemocary like the UK or Mexico?

I mean, ranked choice voting is a FAR more obvious option.

I'd support a law that says the candidates of the four largest political parties in the US are automatically on the ballot.

I'd also support seeing the candidates from the four largest political parties taking part in the debates for president, US senator, and congress.

As a third party voter, I would not care to be deprived of the "if you just give all the third party votes to so and so then they would have won, so you changed the election" while simultaneously telling me I wasted it.
