Our brain sizes are both fully capable of the full span of human intelligence. So while size does correlate loosely to intelligence, it is not a factor here. It should also be noted that the simplified importance is brain size relative to body. Which makes us basically equal.
Men and women have both taken turns to have the higher average IQ in the last 20 or so years. Hinting at there being no significant difference. Which is, given we function different, actually surprising.
Your graph is one of the more interesting phenomena and entirely accurate. Men are overrepresented in both the high and low end of performance. This is not just the case for IQ but a general tendency. Men tend to fail worse and succeed further. Hinting that it might be a simple product of mentality. In short, it is very likely that the dumbest and smartest people you know are men.
School and grades is an emerging argument for women being smarter. Given that intelligence is grown when nurtured it may well be true. It is, I believe, important to remember that girls were significantly worse than boys in school until a series of educational reforms (the last truly major in 1988) to make the educational environment and taught material more suited to women.
These efforts turned out to be very effective and we saw an upswing in the performance of women worldwide. Unsurprisingly, adapting education to suit one gender over the other has also resulted in the gender that education is not adapted for performing gradually worse. Holding it against men that they perform worse in an arena specifically built to provide advantage to women I find close minded at best. Having sisters i do not mind this, but it would be unfair if I give them a handicap and then get taunted for it.
In reality boys today are underperforming enough educationally now that it is probably time to look at how we can make education more suited for boys too. Ideally we would learn from our success and unintended side-effects and seek to do this without creating a disadvantage for girls. It is worrying that the world keeps being distracted and unable to tackle issues like this because of it.

Koko, the female gorilla, may have (not certain) had an IQ equal to that of children. It is hard to compare intelligence between species. It may be hard to compare intelligence between males and females. I believe our IQs are close to equal, with a very slight nod to males, but I am certainly not certain that the nod should be given to males.

(*) Keep in mind how evolution works. If your species is evolved to be successful within its environment, then there's no evolutionary pressure to improve. For example, sharks are very old and haven't changed much for millions of years. Why not? They don't need to.
Cetaceans like blue whales, dolphins, killer whales (orcas), etc. are all reasonably intelligent - especially dolphins and orcas. They cooperate and have social groups and these have helped them survive. Do they need thumbs and toes? Not really. They are successful without them and, indeed, having toes and thumbs would be a problem for them because that would reduce their streamlining meaning they'd be worse swimmers and less likely to be successful hunters.

Intelligence is only part of surviving though. This is also important to understand. Your brain, like any control system, processes information based on what it senses. This is important in humans because males and females are evolved differently and I am not just talking about genitalia...
Male and female senses are actually different and evolved to be that way. This affects what information we get and how we process it. Furthermore, we are affected by other environmental conditions that can impact how we sense or think. For instance, alcohol has caused plenty of bad irresponsible decisions and unintended babies.
Understanding the differences between men and women is beyond my mental capacity. What I do know is that whatever human abilities and characteristics produce the most living descendants are the winners in the evolutionary race. Sadly, at least in my opinion, that may not be the most intelligent. At least in the near-term (100 to 1,000 or more years), the more intelligent may be losing the evolutionary race for survival.

A psychological experiment was performed in which people listened to a recording of multiple conversations happening simultaneously. They were asked to describe as best as possible what they were hearing.
It was discovered that women had a more difficult time than men. This is because women are evolved to hear as much as they can - all sound may contain information which could be critical - like a crying child. Anyway, the women were basically trying to keep track of all of the conversations.
Men ended up selecting a conversation and then listened to the one and were able to ignore all the others. They were more focused. And men WOULD be evolved for that because, outside of the communal group (which is where women and children congregate), the older males would go out into the world and either kill prey or try to kill predators or avoid predators. This caused them to be more visual than females but also more focused and the animal or enemy of interest. It also caused them to be more quiet and less volunteering of information. If a predator hears you, the predator comes after you and kills you. If your prey hears you, they run off before you can kill it and thus you go hungry.

Males are evolved to look and listen more and speak less because that helps them kill food and eradicate threats and stay alive. Being focused on those threats and prey helps maximize survival keeping the group and children alive.
Females are evolved to be more communal sharing information and helping each other more because this helps maximize survival of the group and children.

I think that is a misconception, brain size doesn’t matter. Secondly, IQ Tests don’t really showcase street smarts or common sense which those attributes do contribute to someone’s overall intelligence / ability to function.
I also want to say that, grades also don’t showcase intellect since me having a learning disability did hold me back in some regards though I’m able to give good advice when able also am able to absorb knowledge in topics that I have interest in which zones in my skills.
I believe women can and will achieve a lot in this world when the resources are ripe for the picking, more doors should be open since the more people that have a life of happiness, devotion, reaching for the stars, and being the best selves they can be is a wonderful member of society.

Why are more girls graduating from college?
Having a college degree does not mean your intelligent especially with all the idiotic and useless degree's that colleges have these days. There are a lot of educated idiots both professors in colleges and graduates. Where as the most intelligence driven fields in colleges are almost always usually dominated by men.
Women may be graduating from college more but what degree's are they graduating with? Is it a an actual useful degree that will make back the money you spent to get it? Will it secure them a solid career path and a stable well paying job? Or is it a useless degree that was a waste of money and has no future? Those are the actual questions you should be asking.
Another thing to note is that on average men when they do go into college go into far more complex and harder to get into fields then women do.
On top of that men are more likely to go into trades then colleges thus would go to a trade school and not a college and no they are not the same thing.
Or they were like me and went to a learning institution. Where I learned the inner workers of things like, physiology, biology, kinesiology, biomechanics, etc.
Also lets be frank men in general have more opportunities to learn job field related skills outside of college and on average have more job opportunities then women do without going to college.
The place I work at right now I make decent money and not only that acquired a wide plethora of skills and experience regarding the agricultural field as well as mechanical and machinery related stuff all without a college education.
I could also go to a manufacturing plant in my town right now get a job there and within a few years make almost as much as a nurse does all without getting a college education.

No that doesn't imply men are more intelligent but on average, the male IQ distribution is slightly more flat spread and slightly more skewed to higher IQ values. So generally speaking men and women are very close but in the extremes there's the big differences. The smartest men are far smarter than the smartest women. an iq test is designet to test intelligence, not gender. and we already have the stats. That is a difficult graft to understand, and it is certainly not valid. The average IQs are going to be the peaks, showing that women have an average IQ of 110 and men have an average IQ of 114. I don't doubt that men have an average IQ 4 points above women. However, by definition, the average IQ is 100 not 112. Therefore, that that graft is false.
well it's a cambridge university study. it's students. students are on average more intelligent than the more general population. that's why.

I don't accept that argument. The graft includes IQs in the 70s and below. To be admitted to the University of Cambridge, US applicants should meet the following requirements:
Submit SAT/ACT scores. Minimum SAT score: 1460. Minimum ACT score: 32-33.
Have a competitive GPA of 3.7 or higher.
They have zero students with IQs below 90 and far more likely than not, none below 100. Even any students with an 110 IQ is questionable.

More important than absolute brain size (which is what the graph shows) is relative size of the brain to the body as a whole.
Males are, on average, physically taller, larger and heavier than average females. A physically larger brain is needed to manage that extra size, and has nothing to do with intelligence differences between males and females..
Schools and colleges give females more passes, even if they deny this. It's like a form of modern day affirmative action for women.
Back in the early 2000s I remember the constant news reports about girls failing in schools, why our culture wasn't doing more to help them in education, what needed to change, etc. Then magically overnight you started hearing alllllll these reports that girls were suddenly pulling ahead of boys in school and graduating from college much more than them. Do you think girls were really performing significantly better out of the blue in only a few years? Or did all the reports of them failing in school pressure schools and colleges to start giving them a pass?

Even if you have a slight disposition towards intelligence, if you never learn, you won't get much out of it.
It could be that IQ tests are flawed as well, the amount of attention you have during the test, your drive to perform well on them, etc.

You can argue or explain small differences. However, whether sports or intelligence, you can not explain huge differences. It doesn't matter their language or background.
