The Top 1% Of Income Earners Pay ***FORTY PERCENT*** of All Income Taxes Paid. What Exactly IS Their "Fair Share?" It's MORE than that?

More than half the households in America pay ZERO income tax. They pay NOTHING. More than HALF. I'd call THAT unfair! Of the less than half of the other households, the top ONE PERCENT pay FORTY PERCENT of all the tax bills for everyone else. That's INSANE!

And the Democrats keep screaming they need to pay EVEN MORE? But they never say what their "fair share" is!

If you ask me I agree that isn't fair. THE TOP ONE PERCENT ARE BEARING AN UNFAIR SHARE OF THE BURDON! And THEY are the ones who create the jobs that create the wealth for everyone else. Instead of tax bills, the rest of us should be sending them THANK YOU CARDS every year for keeping the country running because without them we would be dead in the water like some third world hellhole.

The wealthy are mobile. They are not going to just sit back and see their wealth stolen. The more you raise their taxes, the more they will be taking their money out of the country to someplace else where the government isn't trying to confiscate it and the more YOU and every other American will suffer.

We need to CUT taxes to ENCOURAGE wealth to pour into America, not RAISE taxes!

Money goes where it is treated the best. That is an indisputable rule of economics.

So you tell me. What IS a "fair share" for the top 1% to pay?

Funny but not all 1 percenters feel this way. They feel they also have a responsibility to the society they have benefited from. They actually feel good that their taxes help a lot of people less fortunate than them. They actually have empathy for others. Something society could use a bit more of.

Paying taxes to the government is about as "charitable" as paying vigorish to the Mafia. There is nothing stopping ANYONE from paying all they want of their own money to people who they want to WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT CONFISCATING IT FROM THEM AND STEALING HALF OF IT FIRST. And it's NONE OF ANYONE ELSE'S BUSINESS what they do or don't do with their money. It belongs to THEM, not the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats in the government OR ANYONE ELSE!

Any one of them can write a check to the IRS whenever they want to forever much as they want. They could liquidate their entire fortunes and send it to the IRS.

So until they do that, they don't have empathy. What they have is the ability to con suckers like you.

I think there should be no tax up to $100,000. Even then, there are a gazillion other taxes people have to pay. Then 10% up to $200,000 then raise it from there.

The biggest problem with tax dollars is they are mostly wasted or stolen by politicians, the percentage they use to actually do good for the American people is very small.

You can add to that stat that the top 15% of earners in the US pay 67% ( yes, 2/3!) of all income taxes.

It was 33 percent in 2001 and 40-46% since the Trump tax cuts.

Back in the 70s your second $100,000 was taxed at 90%. Of course in the 70s 100K was a ton of money.

I was lucky that my father was into investments too when I was young. He was a doctor, but also loved investing. That's probably what influenced my older sibling to go into economics and me into finance.
