In Joe's defense, he did say his garage has a lock on it. I'm not sure if Mar-A-Lago has locks or not. Don was prosecuted and Joe got a pass because his "elevator doesn't go to the top floor." The justice department said that Joe "is a few fries short of a Happy meal ,". The justice department said that Joe doesn't have " both oars in the water", so he's exempt from prosecution. Should being a moron exempt you from the law?

After leaving office, a former President maintains a security clearance, so there's really nothing wrong with him having classified documents.

The same is not true of a former Vice President, whose security clearance may or may not be revoked. When Trump took office in 2017, Biden's security clearance was revoked.

Trump installed a better lock on the room where the documents were store like the Secret Service instructed him to do. Joe Biden had the documents that he legally had no right to have in a garage that a ten year old could have broken into. And worse than that his compromised son had full access to them.
