  Tate's whole brand is about giving a middle finger to a society that has told him that being a man is wrong.
  
  He's doing a similar thing to what Trump does. He's playing an over the top, exaggerated character that's really boisterous and flashy. You could say he's like a GTA character or a UFC fighter (Tate is actually a kick boxing world champion). Playing the character is what has gotten Tate in trouble, but so far, those accusations haven't been substantiated in court. As a genuine person, he embodies the sort of masculinity that many young men look up to; someone who is disciplined, athletic, rich, etc.
