Did you know Republicans want to eliminate the courts' ability to enforce the law against them?

Text in the bill they're trying to force through without a single Democratic vote:

• “No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued….”

In other words, courts will be unable to hold federal officials liable for breaking court orders.

That's quite apart from the half a trillion cut to Medicare (yes, Medicare, not Medicaid which, along with food stamps, also faces $1 trillion in cuts): "Republican budget bill would trigger more than $500 billion in automatic cuts to Medicare under the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go (‘PAYGO’) Act").

This from the same people doing this: "The FBI is disbanding a squad in its Washington field office that investigates allegations of fraud and public corruption against members of Congress and other federal officials"

The law doesn’t care the party you subscribe to, it has to be enforced without one party being spared than the other. Elected Office Republicans love to disable the courts then once Democrats start investigating, they play “political prosecution” card.

Like, literally this is dumb. We can’t have unlawful actions on both sides and get away with it in the highest offices. Corruption is corruption regardless and must be punished.

We shouldn't have food stamps anyway. Get fucking job or raise your own garden. I say this even as I am personally medically disabled, but damnit I worked overtime every week of my life before i became disabled. I was putting in 70 hours per week some weeks.

These bum singles mother/father three kids and don't have a job or don't have a real job and they expect everyone else to pay for their lifestyle choices.

We produce more food in the USA than any other two nations combined. There's no excuse for someone can't afford food except they are too lazy to get a job.

Democrats "enforce" the law when they feel like it. Obama allowed BLACKS to burn down baltimore and forbade local law enforcement to intervene. There's plenty of blame for lawlessness to go on the Democrat's side of the isle.

They honestly don't even know how to treat some of the shit that's medically wrong with me, so they mostly just treat the Type 2 diabetes, which is killing me slowly anyway. The day I was finally fully diagnosed, the doctro wrote "FAtal" in the margin of his diagnosis.

@Danzigdawson Do you people know what my medical bills are every month just for the medications, not counting doctors visits and counseling? My insurance company spends $4000 a month on the medications alone, and another $1000 per month on doctors visits. Then since I end up in the ER for stroke-like symptoms every year or two, there's a $10000 bill every year or two on top of that. If I didn't have medicair and medicaid, I'd be DEAD 12 years ago, and I didn't do anything wrong. Before the symptoms started I was an ELITE ATHLETE AND A BLACK BELT CANDIDATE IN A REAL STYLE OF OKINAWAN KARATE. I COULD BEAT ANYONE IN A FIGHT PERIOD.

Now I struggle to work a shift at work without shitting on myself or passing out from the illness.

Courts have never had enforcement powers. Courts, the Judicial branch, make rulings that are then enforced (or not) by the Executive branch of government.
