My husband and I have been speaking about this a lot lately due to how are country is heading.
Were from the midlands of the UK and it's always been known as abit of a shit whole but now it feels like home is not home anymore.
I moved to my husbands hometown were it was once a beautiful town with lovely family people and lots to do. Now the streets are lined with addicts and drug fronts and it's right on are door step too. First year was great having a house in the town centre but know we've had people trash my husbands car, passed out, fighting etc outside our house. The police do nothing and a lot of locals feel very unsafe. We have a private alleyway behind our house and people fly tip down there and even worse piss and shit up the walls or use it as a hide out to shoot up.
I'm a young woman and very petite and I worry for my safety on my own doorstep and if myself and husband decide to start a family.
We have a prime minister and a government who treat there own people like second class citizens in there own country and are set on ruining are once "great" country out of there own greed.
The UK is such a toxic, negative country now especially in the midlands. The highstreets and night life is dead.
I feel like my home is no longer home and we are just waiting until something better comes along now.
Luckily my husband has a great job and is a luxury head gardener I guess you could say. He's worked for lords and ladies meaning he can go anywhere with a CV like that. We've talked about moving up north or to Scotland once he makes his money or even moving country completely..
His mum said if we did move she'd follow us and help raise are future children etc but she can with her life. My family aren't as rich as her and I feel I'd be leaving my family behind completely.
I'm so stressed out atm with life and what the future holds with the British government atm.
