I mean, the president is not a king. You can't actually do THAT much as president and especially not in 1 day. The job of the president is mostly to serve as a figurehead for USA and to collaborate with their party. Collaboration is obviously out of the picture since that takes too long, months at the very least.

That leaves things like US diplomacy and the structure of the federal government... and lastly the army. So what would I do in 24 hours? First I would order the US military to relocate to Ukraine with full military equipment and meet me for an official speech. The fact that I will tell them to leave the keys in their vehicles and park them out of sight with all their equipment is going to be an unfortunate miscalculation on my part since Russia knows you can't have shit in Ukraine without some farmer towing it away.

After that embarrassing affair I will proudly gain the title of the worst American president in US history who somehow managed to lose trillions of dollars of military equipment in a single day and I will celebrate this new title by flying the military personnel back to USA for a pizza party.

On the ride back home I would phone back and start firing all the appointments that Trump has done and fill it with people who graduated most recent, have massive student debts and has yet to get a promising career. I dont expect them to do anything but the day 1 signing bonus and being able to put employment into the federal government into their resume is is worth the unfortunate trouble of my predecessor having to go back and fire them all again. Maybe I can even squeeze in some federal pension for them as well.

But yeah, dont imagine I would be able to do much more than maybe leave behind a whoopee cushion.

I would heavily regulate our Capitalist economic system with a wealth tax, high top income tax rates, no favorable treatment for capital gains or carried interest, and a total exclusion of dark money and limits on political campaign contributions and lobbying groups. I would also eliminate the tax exclusion for religions.

Watch the deficit disappear quickly. Watch government return to the hands of the people. Watch the Oligarchs throw a fit.

I would put everything back this admin destroyed.

Starting with the FBI, the gov watch dogs, veterans centers, USAID (which helps people stand up to gov scams), healthcare employees, SSI call centers and field offices, Air Traffic Control, disease control, cancer and other research, Weather on and on and on and on.

Then I would acknowledge they all need updating snd do it in a sustaining and healthy way.

Single payer health care insurance. 2/3 of all health care is government funded as is right now. At the same time Medicare medicaid government can't negotiate prices in the same way our military contractor workers are robbing our great government blind.

Pass... the only thing you could do in a day is try to take over. Otherwise anything you say or do is going to be stalled until you are gone. Or reversed as soon as you leave. If I was president for a term my number one priority would be making loans against unrealized capital gains taxable. That is how the super rich hide their money in plain site and pay no taxes on it.

Hard core deregulation outlaw HOAs take us back to the 40's eliminate half the laws on the books or more but strictly enforce laws about actual crime like murder, rape, fraud. Of course some corrupt Judge would always be there to stop you and an army of cry baby snow flakes would cry about their food stamps and other commie entitlements to no end.
