I liked the legislation passed to suppress Antisemitism in this country which is definitely needed, though leaving out to suppress Anti-Muslim hate crime / hate speech fell short of my expectations since I would like no hate of any kind, not just endorsing some hate over other kinds of hate.

I liked the idea of a Department Of Government Efficiency, though from cutting CFPB, corporate regulations, cutting FAA, and more harm than good it makes government ironically less efficient than when Elon Musk took his chainsaw to it. Cutting CFPB already raised bank fees since CFPB was able to cap it at a small cost, now American families will be overcharged.

I liked the idea of Student Loan Debt Forgiveness, of course this administration is sabotaging it and trying to get people to pay their debts even after being freed from the burden.

Hiring complete nutjobs: Robert F Kennedy (sabotaging public health), Pete Hegseth (leaks classified materials to random journalists and his family members), and Pam Bondi (made money from insider trading on ‘Liberation Day’) . Don’t forget Kristi Noem (she inaccurately stated what Habeas Corpus was live on Television) or the current head of FEMA (admitted he didn’t even know there was a hurricane season).

‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’ is a failure, dead on arrival I bet.

Elon Musk and Marjorie Taylor Greene taking a stand against the ‘OBBBA’. Even MAGA doesn’t want it.

Do I need to repeat how tariffs are a tax on imports or exports, that by Trump putting his tariffs on imports only encourages import company to increase the fee to import goods from far away lands which a corporate entity pays the increase of the fee so to offset they put it on consumers in stores. American Consumers pay the tariffs.

If you don’t believe American Consumers pay the tariffs, watch Trump explain your child might have two dolls instead of thirty, also watch him hint that you’ll be paying more….
We didn’t want the guy who promised to lower grocery prices to not do that.

Furthermore, we didn’t want the guy who claimed I can solve all wars first day in office, actually at CPAC 2023 he claimed he would solve it before he even gets into office.

What are we on course for even? He's breaking laws and ignoring laws left and right deporting people, many who shouldn't. It's total chaos and Obama mastered deporting criminals perfectly and Trump will never catch up to Obama's numbers. Tariffs? Worst idea ever. He's killing small businesses. He's raising prices on us. He's constantly killing the stock market and ruining people's 401K's. Then he chickens out. He keeps failing to make deals and the few he has come up with are worse than if he'd left them alone. Israel and Gaza continues. Russia-Ukraine continues. He's a massive failure at doing things he said he would. The government is now full of incompetent morons who only get hired because they kiss his ass. He said he'd cut spending and his BBB is about to be a record increase in the debt limit. It's all been worse than I thought and I had low expectations.

Yes, he is trying to make a strong America and take care of the middle class. For decades we have watched while entire industries got shipped overseas. President Trump is trying to fix that and has secured trillions in investments in factories built in the US which will provide thousands of construction jobs and later good paying manufacturing jobs.
He wants to be a net exporter of energy and is working on decreasing inflation.
The border is secured and the flow of fentanyl has decreased along with deaths from fentanyl poisoning and the apprehension of illegal aliens has decreased 93% compared to 2024.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens have been either arrested or deported already with more to follow.
President Trump is pushing a reconciliation bill though congress that will fund a revitalized military, upgrade the air traffic control system and fund additional ICE and Border Patrol agents to secure our borders and deport people here illegally.
There is also tax cuts for the working class.
It has not been without problems but along with the majority of Americans I think we are going in the right direction.

My opinion of Trump is not much different from every other President during my lifetime. I like some of the things he does, am neutral on some, and dislike others.

Trump's handling of the border and illegal immigration is good. Some of the cuts in government funding and firing employees are good, some are not, and some are done without considering the overall impact on the country.. His increased (and changing) tariffs are not so good in what is, whether he likes it or not, a global economy.
