It was inevitable. The problem with MAGA is that they’ve woven together several different factions of support, with conflicting promises, or the factions have conflicting ideals that can’t co-exist.

Some people vote for him because they’re bigots of some sort. Some people vote for him because they think he’ll deregulate business. Some vote for him because they hate and fear immigrants. Some are hyper-Christian holy rollers. Some are tech bros. Some are investors. Some people just can’t stand the idea of paying taxes.

Trump was in a “president-or-prison” situation, his 2024 campaign was probably much more about getting himself out of legal hot water (there’s a bigger conversation about this dumb policy to not indict sitting presidents, no matter what) than anything else, and the revenge he could execute against all those people who it sure seems to my naked eye were very rightly trying to hold him accountable for crimes that, while there was still legal procedure to go through, it SURE looks like he was guilty of. Getting elected, weirdly, makes all of that go away.

So he made every empty promise he could, and dishonestly mischaracterized the job the previous administration was doing and the job the potential future Harris administration would do. That’s honestly the most maddening thing about all of this, what he won on mostly isn’t even true, we just have very stupid citizens who believed him. The economy was pretty strong, all the corruption witch-hunts against Biden and his son were coming up empty and their own “whistleblower” witness was getting convicted and imprisoned for deliberately lying in service of these witch-hunts. But Americans are absolute fucking morons and just believe Trump when he says “fake news.” The “fake news” permission slip Trump just gives out to dismiss valid criticism will be the downfall of the USA, mark my words. Unbelievable that our people are so stupid or so hellbent on their hatred of this or that group that they just believe this guy when he talks. Were totally fucked if we don’t snap out of that QUICK.

it's a dog and pony show. there's no difference between Trump and Musk. both Trump and Musk are amoral, neither Trump and Musk knows what they're doing as their histories of failed businesses ventures and on and on and on. so, after firing least 121,361 workers and cutting the funding to feed starving kids--suddenly, I'm supposed to believe that Musk had a ''come to Jesus'' moment? nah, I call bullshit on this. I just don't see why Musk has an issue hurting the middle-class given his past. plus, Musk doesn't wanna fight Trump--the MAGA cult belongs to Trump. if--for whatever reason--this fight IS real, Musk will lose. at any time, Trump could send his supporters after Musk as Trump has done to politicians and judges.

I think that since Elon Musk is not a native born American he cannot be president so maybe he thought that the next best thing would be to buy one. When he found out that President Trump was not for sale he got angry. Usually nobody says no the the worlds richest man.
It is a shame that it ended like this,. Elon had the opportunity to do something really great, much bigger than building electric cars.

I don’t really care actually. It seemed inevitable given their personalities. I think both have great ideas and are passionate about them. The clash of those ideas will produce better ideas. Our Founding Fathers argued a lot as well and some even hated each other like Jefferson and Hamilton I believe.

It really sucks when "Mom and Dad fight". I don't like it. I wish they weren't doing it over social media, it looks bad and unprofessional. I am certain they both have the interest of America at heart. Elon just want to focus on the national doubt above everything else and him losing the EV substitutes and Tesla being burned to the ground by libtards has finally pushed him over the edge.
