I watched a clip of these officers slowly walking towards and then under the bridge as they were being pelted with debris. If you know agitators are right above you, why would you place yourselves in that position to be pelted with objects? We have to use common sense here!

Instead, I feel they should have been above the bridge taking these thugs out. If they aren't proactively taking them down, they should have at a minimum remained at an observable distance.

Something doesn't add up here. It is almost like they are being told to stand down. Where are the mass arrests?

Yeah, this is definitely bait to some degree.

They know they’re wrong in how they’re going about this, they know the protests are valid, they know that they look bad to humans with decent souls.

So what they have to do is stuff like this, wait for the first bottle to be thrown, and then they have a green light to say “they started it.” And make no mistake, they want it to start.

Same thing happened with BLM. Everyone saw the Chauvin video, again, that should be disgusting to anyone who isn’t a soulless monster, no excuses or exemptions. I remember watching my dad watch the news during the day, and he was pretty quiet. Then night fell, and some shit jumped off because it ALWAYS does, because a cop is going to shove someone eventually, and it’s normal as fuck to take offense to being pushed by anybody, but there’s a built-in dynamic where 9 times out of 10 people will side with the cops, right or wrong. So it actually behooves police to start shit, and they’re also much better equipped for a conflict.

And in some of the BLM protests, eventually something went sideways, or a couple idiots break a store window and steal, and trust and believe….. the conservatives are watching and can’t wait —CAN’T WAIT— for even one person to do one thing that will make them feel justified in saying “no, FUCK THAT. ALL Lives Matter!”, which is what they were thinking all along, they were just waiting for the first excuse to say it out loud with the cover of some faux-justification. My old man was right there on that tip. Quiet all day, wanted to object, but rightfully couldn’t, until he got that one opening, and that was all he needed to discredit EVERYTHING. Completely disingenuous, but this is what they do.

Address the George Floyd incident for what it really is: police brutality. Just because the officer was white and the subject was black does not mean the incident was racially-motivated.

It was definitely police brutality and improper handling of an arrest, resulting in a loss of human life. This could have easily happened to a white person, an Asian person, or someone of any other race or ethnicity.

There are a lot of bad apples and unhinged officers in law enforcement. I have encountered them personally. We need reforms and more training with law enforcement, but pushing a racism narrative is harmful when it cannot be confirmed.

I've been to protests in DC. The cops there are well trained in crowd control. When your job is crowd control, arresting people is not the way to go. At the protests I went to we intentionally tried to provoke the cops into arresting us, but they wouldn't do it. They will only arrest for pretty serious stuff.

Why do I feel I am surrounded by a bunch of retards on this site. YES, I support the law enforcement! Obviously, they are being suppressed and unable to perform their jobs under pressure of the state and local governments. Order cannot be restored until police can fulfill their duties.

They can stop traffic without being pelted with debris. Plus, going beneath the bridge also reduces visibility and hinders a path of egress.

... my only idea as to why they did this is to take cover from potential bullets. Otherwise, I cannot see why walking towards a bridge slowly while being pelted with large debris is a good idea. If they were to shut down a stretch of intersection, the better solution would have been to close a segment at an interchange or exit where vehicles could be diverted. Even better, rolling roadblocks would have been safer. Have you ever seen officers swerve almost erratically across multiple lanes to slow the vehicles behind them? It appears they are intoxicated but that is intentional to slow down drivers on high speed freeways for an oncoming hazard.

I am using my brain. The rolling roadblock could have started further away, eventually leading to a stop at an interchange or exit farther away from tbe chaos. What I am saying is that these officers in gear are not there for traffic control as much as they are there to deal with crowd control.

That is the California Highway patrol, not LAPD, and they are wearing helmets. Nobody is throwing anything off that bridge - that debris is from wrecked cars.
