I'm too sure. The estimated population of Tehran in 2025 is approximately 9.73 million. This figure refers to the city proper, not the larger metropolitan area, according to Wikipedia. The Tehran metropolitan area is significantly larger, with around 16.8 million people.

They're not going to evacuate. That would be like trying to evacuate the entire population of New York City.

What is Trump going to do, pull a "shock and awe" like Dubya did on Baghdad?

Iran has already demonstrated that it has the capability of detecting and targeting stealth aircraft, as was demonstrated by its shooting down of 4 Israeli F-35s so far, not to mention lots of drones and missiles. I don't think the U. S. wants to lose a bunch of expensive aircraft. That would make it look vulnerable in the eyes of the world.

Trump is butt-hurt that he failed to sign a better nuclear deal on his first term as president after ripping up the previous one. As for why "Iranians should start evacuating Tehran"? Israel got to Trump and now he is doing what they want like a good puppy.

Seems to me trump is annoyed that iran keeps firing rockets at israel cities. He plans to make a heavy price on iran industry in its cities including tehran, to deter iran from shooting at our American ally named israel.
